I believe that once you are a rep, until the relationship is OVER, you are a rep. Whether it's on this board, or any board. You are at all times an employee of that company. You SHOULD NOT be ashamed of sharing that with the world, and posting a signature denoting this, if the source is reputable. You should probably wear their name. If you cannot, you need to reevaluate your ethics towards the whole situation.

so why is it that meso doesnt have these things already in place? i have an idea but really something should probably be done

They should be able to add the signature themselves in the profile settings.

I thought so, as well. However, Iron Julius informed me he tried and it wouldn't show up.

ok on my preferences its not checked as show signatures of members so if you want to see someone signature go to preference and check show signatures of members

Something of that sort actually isn't a bad idea. That way you're labeled but not advertising with every post. Advertising aspect of the signature isn't really appealing.

Mine has that option checked and I know I've seen other members with sig's, hell I called one out in this thread. Maybe we should ask him. Not sure he'll be willing to help tho lol how about it @mcammy?

Pretty much. At least it's on your page and members have to actually be checking into you to see that.

The forum app has several restrictions on signatures to prevent excessive "spammy" sig files. Easing up on this restrictions could instantly result in thousands of spam ads appearing throughout the forum. I'd prefer to see the disclosure to take place in the member status area i.e. remove "member", "well-known member" labels and replace with "source rep" label.
