Courtesy of DDW, "DEA: South Florida 'dark web' dealer sold deadly heroin from China" announced the arrest of 'Owlcity', an AlphaBay seller of fentanyl, alpha-PVP, MDMA, cocaine, Xanax. The article incorrectly gives the arrest reason and sounds totally bizarre (he sent them the post office address...?), but when I looked up the complaint the complaint reveals what actually happened - after several undercover buys had localized Owlcity to South Florida, they made another order and:

On February 26, 2016, DEA agents received information from the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) that the tracking status of the Priority Mail package that OWLCITY sent to complete the October 23, 2015 heroin order was queried online on the U.S. Postal Service website from an IP address assigned by AT&T to an a ccount associated with the Leslie Residence.

They began in-person surveillance of Leslie, watched him drive to the post office with additional orders & intercepted the packages, ISP monitoring of Tor activity, correlation of Owlcity inactivity with computer repair, and finally a raid 27 July 2016.

You better believe it is going to get worst over the next four years with some of Trump's Cabinet selections. Get ready for a conservitive crackdown on drugs and ramping up of domestic spying operations. Snowden tried to warn us but too many Americans have short attention spans and memory retention. Patriot Act III will be enacted after the first terrorist act of the new administration. These "leaders" are okay sacrificing citizen privacy in the name of national security. And we already know of the abuses of these surveillance programs.

If you don't understand how to protect yourself online, there are plenty of knowledgeable people here willing to help. I don't think I've ever seen a security question here get bashed. You can also ask experienced members directly if you have questions.

TOR, bitcoin, shipping protection, encrypted email services are the biggest topics you should have some understanding about.

I would say in the future, if you order again, you could accept the package and not open it for a few days. I know there is some premise to being ignorant as to what the package contains. An attorney could get more done if these were the conditions. That being said, I've personally seen some mail delivery situations where friends spent many years in prison, so be careful. One friend actually had a black plastic tracking device in his package. He got some of the items flushed before the door came down. Seven years later he got out. He was on another level for sure, under investigation for a long time. Good luck.

Back in the day's when the Anabolex forum was still around, i recall another member posting about a controlled delivery.

He said he opened the package to find a tracking device packed in with his gear, threw it on the ground and destroyed it.

He claimed that after it was all said and done, they made him pay for the smashed tracking device too.

Not sure how legit his story was but at the time, twas a good read.

Personally, i wouldn't chance ordering shit in the same name to the same address.

Unless i had someone trustworthy that would let me send the pack to their address with a different name... i'd chalk up the pack as a loss and take the experience, for what it's worth, as a win.

I was washing my vehicle in the driveway and waiting for my express delivery like I have in the past. It's always the same thing postal person makes it there just before noon . This time a new Taurus pulls up and sits in front of my driveway for about three to five minutes. The gentleman gets out of the car wearing a button down shirt and khakis ,and asks is I am ,so and so. Which struck me as odd because everyone butchers my last name . He says I have a package for you. He does not have the computer devise they carry, he has nothing on him, and never mention the postal service. My instinct told me to say I did not order anything . I could tell he did not like this and then asked me if I know "This guy" , the sender
I said no. I then said what should I do take it back to the post office? He said well you can refuse it. I said yeah I refuse it.
My source which has been great said to go pick it up , you have nothing to worry about, and it's impossible . The pack was sent back . I really do not think I was wrong in not taking it. Like I said this is not my first time. What do you guys think?

That's a stupid move. Now you raised the guy who delivers express mails suspicions. Express is often delivered by a different Carrier. Now a package filled with gear and your name on it is getting returned to a bogus address. No way would your refusal negate your door getting kicked in. Never act out of place. You acted weird. Your drawing unwanted attention.

I have read getting a signature or accepting the package in person is a big part of having probable cause to issue a search warrant. From what I understand, If you never accept the package in the first place, they can't charge you for possession. Their only other methods are to get you to admit you ordered gear or get into your house through typical dirty police tactics and finding controlled substances there, which is why you should always accept deliveries at a clean location.

I did not act weird at all. He acted strange. I just said I am not expecting a package . I talked to a few people that definitely know how it works, and they said I absolutely , without a doubt did the rite thing. Anybody can send you something. You do not incriminate yourself until you take possession .

Most express packages contain a letter. Another thing is the return address should be typed ,and not handwritten. I may, or may not have done this many times , and it not normal. This postal worker was in shape, had a crew cut and just carried himself like a cop. There was this feeling as if There were guys waiting for me.to.accept and come on in. with express I always had to sign.He only has the package. also sat in front of my house.

From what I have read the postal inspectors must obtain a search warant if they suspect any foul play and they will typically go undercover as a normal postman in order to get a controlled delivery. I was wondering if your package was delayed because it usually takes time to go through the warrant process that being said I would have done the same thing as you definitely.I hope all ends up well for you .

I could see a small controlled delivery if it was just for a couple.vials and didn't look like he was dealing. Possibly, if it was raws or such , it would have been,a full on bust but with small timers they probably let most of it slide..... LE is after the BIG MONEY

Matter, you know that all to be facts ? I have done tons of research, and like I sai6d talked to people who work in the field . They cannot do a thing unless I accept the package.
little different situation involving local politicians that.had there door kicked in when they took the pack. It.was domestic and it was a few miles from my house. This is not a joke. it could destroy my life. Listen to your gut. it could save your ass.

I think it's all good. I thought it was unusual because it was express and should have arrived a day earlier. Just sucks paying for an order twice. Never order for someone again unless they make it worth it.

Never order to your house again. Personally, I would take the hard drive out of the computer and replace it, especially if that pack is sent back to a fictitious address. However, my views on safety seem to be extreme.
