Cowboy's Switch the Darkside

After choking down as much food as I could yesterday, and got as much sleep as I could, the time is here. Up now, getting ready, heading out for breakfast. Lifting starts in few hours
Great news, food and sleep are very good. Very good helpers to make it work. Looking forward to your success and news

Ok here is how it went down...

First off, loved every minute of it and I am hooked. I will be looking at setting all 4 national masters records next year at 220.

Squat
Original plan was 70kg 154lb token squat but warm ups felt good so upped the numbers a bit, not the full on lifts originally planned but up some. These flew up with no pain so...
220 3 whites
242 3 whites
275 3 whites

Bench didnt go as planned. Opener flew up, 2nd moved well but got a bad call that I sunk the bar down after press command, looking at video I didn't... should have repeated it but jumped up anyways
264 3 whites
286 1 white 2 red
297 3 reds couldnt lock it out

Deadlifts went amazing all 3 lifts flew up and should have went heavier but still PR
463 3 whites
485 3 whites
501 3 whites

I came in 1st in Masters, and 2nd in open at 242

Congratulations, you're really cool. Completed everything and the result showed and excellent. So everything ended well. This is a good report. My congratulations

And the most important thing is that I saw emotions in this report. because we come to the competition for the emotion and feeling of celebration. To get the necessary charge for further work, and I'm sure you got it

Good job sir! Can't wait for my meet in January!

Now what are your further training plans? What competitions are you going to prepare for? or will you take a break for a full recovery?
This is a no lift week to just recuperate, although its killing me to not be lifting.

Starting an offseason training plan next week, nothing fancy or to overly structured until the new year, but it will be higher rep, lower weight work with some emphasis on hypertrophy.

I go see my PT today to discuss how the meet went, my hamstring, and path forward.

I want to get bodyweight to 200 or slightly under. Looking for a meet around summertime, late spring or fall even works for me. Would like to compete at 220 and set some Fed National records at that bodyweight then even consider dropping another weight class for another meet.

I got to say, this meet absolutely hooked me on competing and plan to continue to do it until I can't anymore. Just wish I had gotten into it earlier in life.

Quick update

So the force feeding on Saturday seems to have gotten weight up about 10lbs for meet day. I weighed 242 Monday morning the day after meet.

Today 233 so down 9lbs thus far....

This is week is basically eat when and what I want. Next week back on structured meals and timing, with a cut in mind.

No lifting this week, just some rehab work on my hamstring. Going to start Kizen infinite offseason next week minus RDL/SDLs until hamstring 100%. Going to run it loosely with a bit more focus on hypertrophy until at least the new year.

Gear.... all dropped back on cruise at 200mg per week. Get all markers back to proper ranges and then maybe a short blast in spring and then prep for another meet next year

Great news. A good plan is time to create a new shape and result. And it is very good that you liked the competition and that you are ready to participate in them again and again. You will succeed

Yes, I also need to start controlling the food, otherwise everything is chaotic and without control. But nutrition is one of the important aspects of preparation and result.

How are your overall health feelings and what are the dynamics? are there changes in sensation and condition?

And you have rehabilitation due to your condition or have some kind of work protocol and time during which you will only be engaged in rehabilitation mode. What do healthcare professionals say?

Overall doing well, obviously with the torn Adductor and Hamstring issues I need to let it heal properly. Zero pain or issues at the meet, however doing the rehab work on it does cause some minor pain

So basically everyday I am to do banded rehab work. Then once or twice a week do very light high rep deadlift and squat. Slight increase in weight week to week. I now see PT every 2 weeks while he is available to answer questions anytime.

The PT is quite shocked at how the swelling and bruising went down pre meet, as well as that I was able to squat 275 and pull 501 with no issues at meet. He is thinking the ims treatment and the immuno response to it was the difference. He does not want me pushing my luck any further right now. I think I am 4 weeks post injury so another few weeks to fully heal and then back into the heavier work load for lower body.

Yes. I'm sure everything will end well. just need enough time and patience. I'm sure you can handle it
