Im an idiot, wrong section sorry, maybe it can be moved to the nutrition forum, oops... but still, any comments?

Throw out the fructose from post workout, you don't need it. Mine is 30 dext, 30 malto, 25 cfm, 15 hydrolyzed whey ultra grade. I didn't go for glutamine peptides due to cost but at 5% of the mixture it wouldn't be that costly at all. The protein is good for the reasons you stated.

Yeah, figured i didnt need the fructose but its only 5% because i like the type of sweetness fructose provides. Im thinking now i should have put the dextrose up a bit more, say 40% and lowered the malto a bit. Oh well, its only 8lbs, i can perfect it as i go then start ordering 15-20lbs of the stuff at a time.

have you tried stevia for a sweetener? i know they offer it, it's not that bad and it's more natural than that fake chemical sweetener. it's also an herb that supposedly helps with blood sugar somehow, although i have no clue what it does. just a thought...

I'm going to have to check out that site - sounds tight...

From what I understand there are two reasons to ingest sugars like dextrose and fructose immediately post workout. Both reasons are because of the resulting insulin spike.

1) Insulin spike accelerates cellular metabolism to quickly restore glucose/glycogen levels.

2) Insulin spike is associated with greater protein synthesis and absorption because of accelerated cellular metabolism.

MY ? : Does anyone know the optimum protein/sugar ratio so as to not to underdose protein or overdose sugar??????
