Cycling steroids is most certainly not playing Russian roulette with your health, that's absurd.
If I have a beer after work every day, am I playing Russian roulette with all of the same risks associated with alcoholism?
If I take a painkiller after a surgery, am I playing Russian roulette with all the same risks of an opioid addict?
If a runner dies of a heart attack while running, should no one ever go jogging again?
I don't think so.
Moderation is key. You are making the same exact mistake that the general public and the media will make from this death, as well as any other athletes death... That steroids are to blame. There is no way to know whether AAS even played a role, typically it's the diuretics and or insulin that are the real troublemakers - those are not typical for general AAS user.
I am in perfect health... My health prior to using AAS was much more questionable. If anything, I take an extremely more careful look at my health and well-being now as compared to years past. I'm more engaged in taking care of myself and so are most of the users that deal in moderation in the community. How many people do you know at the gym that get bloodwork on their own on a regular basis? How many check their blood pressure or even monitor their blood sugar? Most of the guys on this board do that regularly.
Ask an ex NFL player with CTE if he thinks bodybuilding is the most destructive sport...
