OK...well, after a LOT of reading, I've decided to go on a DNP cycle.

I'm starting out at 175#, and need to drop 15 to be in good "fighting" shape.

I spent the last year working 12+ hour days in a very stressful job, and let myself go to hell. I've dropped about 10# with a better diet, but have reached a bit of a plateau there. It doesn't help that I'm now on the wrong side of 40. For you young wippersnappers....just wait until YOU turn 40 and YOUR metabolism crashes. Anyhow, I'm now only working half time, so if I feel a bit wiped out from the DNP, that's OK.

I'm sure a lot of other people out there are curious about DNP, so I'll try to keep people up to date with daily postings on this thread.

I feel a certain serious respect for DNP, so I'm going to do a mild cycle. I don't plan on doing more than 2 200mg capsules a day. 3 days of 200mg, the rest 200mg morning and 200mg 12 hours later. These are the "Version II" capsules provided by a certain Meso DNP Expert. I'll refer to him as "H" (who provided outstanding service and communication, btw). I recently had all my blood tests run, and everthing was within normal ranges.

The cycle will start this morning. Before I start, I plan to be stocking up on a few things:

* bananas (for potassium)
* various fruits - pears, peaches, melons, etc.
* powders for making good tasting fluids (some gatorade, crystal lite)
* glycerin
* benadryl (just in case)
* high fibre foods
* case of V8 juice 12oz cans

I already take a fist full of vitamins, anti-oxidants, supplements, herbs, etc., so I don't need to buy any of those. I'll be doing some T3 supplementation at a moderate level too.

Although I normally follow a reduced carb diet (not nearly as severe as Atkins, but maybe 100g a day or less--no refined carbs like white flour, bread, sugar, etc.), I won't be worried about carb grams while on the cycle. I will not be lifting or doing any intense cardio. We'll see how it goes.

yea, dont weigh yourself until a week after using, because your weight will flxuate by diet,water and other things during the day, but you probably know this. I'm glad you started this thread, really interesting, helping me out alot. thanks

Yeah, it would've been great to read those. And hopefully more sane than that guy who munched down 1200mg a day (or whatever it was).
 
First day on 400mg. I'm OK if I don't do anything (like if I'm driving), but if I do anything physical at all (like bring a basket of laundry up from the basement), I'll break out in a sweat.

Oddly, my temperature has been below 98.6 all day. Was 97.8 a little while ago.

In some of the research, people's temperatures skyrocketed in extreme cases. One guy died when his temp hit about 105, and then it continued going up after his death, reaching 115 before cooling down!

Hopefully, sweating means that the stuff is working, and a low temperature means that I'm not taking too much. Any perspectives on that?
 
I would use a conservative approach to dnp. I will not go above 400mg again, as the side effects, partiuclarly sweating, are out of control. I took 400mg yesterday and another 200mg about an hour or two ago. I can feel some warmth in my back and a lil sweat on the palms, but thats it. And thats all I expect at the dosages I use. I would expect similar effects for you, unless you do something requiring manual labor, i.e carrying a laundry basket. Hey, to me that IS manual labor! ;)
 
My DNP Experiences

Hey All,

Love to see people that have researched DNP doing safe cycles...good job bro. I thought I'd drop my own generation II experience. This is my fifth or sixth cycle of DNP lifetime (I'm a competitive BBer), so I've had my sweats.

Right now I'm on day 5 at 400mg/day (I only started here because I have used DNP several times before, and I can't really function above this, no do I really get the results at less).

First three nights I was still able to sleep with my comforter on the bed. Last night I did the classic sweat all night with the fan on me as I lay in bed trying to get comfortable between two towels. Oh well, trust me, it's VERY worth it if you are seeking to cut up.

Today I had an AM leg workout, so I got up and had breakfast (I still eat the same as a normal pre-contest diet, 40/40/20 with lots of fiber, etc. I thought I'd be incredibly weak, but the half dose ECA stack I'm taking really helped me push myself. I was able to finish 18 sets (not as heavy as usual, but still very intense...about 10% decrease in all working weights). Sweat so much during and after the workout I had to take two cold showers before I would even slow the sweating enough to shave. Now I'm living by the fan...my best friend.

It was fun to watch my abs "disappear" as usual as they become covered in the film of water that finds itself subcutaneously during DNP cycles. I have actually maintained my pump and muscle volume fairly well by supplementing with creatine and glutamine.

Anyway, that's this cycle's news. On a funnier (and somewhat scary) note, I once did a cycle at 600mg/day and probably brought myself close to death (damn newbies). I was eating dairy queen and a bunch of other crap, and would binge and then sleep in a sweaty diabetic coma in front of the fan on the floor. Don't do that. That's dumb. (Yes, that means I was dumb, but learn from my mistakes as I have)
 
theres a huge difference between 400mgs and 600mgs. 600 killed me but ive known some bros to run 1000(not recomended. when i did 600 i missed work for about 4 days. right now im just starting (day 3) a 3 day 200mg 4 day 400mg cycle to see how it affects my work. Its febuary i work outside and at just 200mgs of harrys i was sweating after my lunchtime carbs kicked in. You may want to add some ala and grapeseed extract into your cycle because they are great antioxadents.
 
Good advice, Roofer. I normally take ALA and Grapeseed. I'll *definitely* avoid going higher than 400mg. I'm not a huge guy, so 400mg is actually a fair amount.

Damn, F-ing hungry almost all the time on this stuff. I might think about some low doses of phentermine or something like that to blunt the hunger.

I sure do sweat a lot, but not "soaking" sweats...
 
The numbers Ive read for dnp are between 30-50%. Whether its that range or more, its still a huge increase.

CV, try some ephedrine to blunt your hunger and help with energy levels.
 
starting my second day on 400mg. I am splitting up the 400mg dose, but have decided against 12 hour schedule, and am going with 6am and Noon, to make sleeping a bit easier. Have plenty of energy still. Snacking on grapes, oranges, etc. Maybe that has been helping.

Sleeping was easy last night. Left the window open a crack, and slept on top of the bed. Slept like a ROCK. No "soaking sweats" or anything like that. Perhaps those are still to come, along with the "totally drained" feeling.

I feel all bloated and fat though. I must be retaining water, as I am drinking a lot. My piss comes out neon yellow. Practically glows in the dark. Have attached a pic of that (j/k obviously)
 
second day on 400mg. Just took my second dose about an hour ago.

Still feel fine. Spent about 4 hours this morning doing some landscaping work around the house--moving rocks and digging holes for some trees, etc. Sweated a bit, but not buckets and buckets. Energy and strength seemed to be OK.

Oh, took 15mg of Phentermine this AM to help me deal with the fairly strong hunger/carb craving that I had. It's helped a LOT.

Course, it's been an hour since I finished the yard work, and I'm still sweating from the digging <lol> and I still feel bloated and fat. Is this what women feel like during the wrong part of the month?

if your on harrys dnp you will soak sweat at 600mg. Iwould lay on the couch and soak the whole thing down to my feet. you probally will notice more sweating after carbs. I run efedra with it to help with energy. As long as you stay away from high fats you should be ok unless your eating buckets full of food.
 
one more thing is youll have 600mgs in your system because of the 36 hour half life. There are some great diarys of 1000mg cycles i forget the board, dont have time to look right now i believe its fitness geared board.
 
Yeah, I'm using H's DNP..he seems to be the resident expert.

Well, took the second 200mg dose today at around 1pm. 6pm now, definitely sweating. Not soaking, but pretty much anything makes me break out in a sweat--kind of like I just got off a stairmaster.

Probably makes sense, given the long half-life of this stuff. I've now had 2 days of 400mg. I imagine the next 5 days will be hot ones. Definitely not doing 600mg. I'm way too small for that. Can't even imagine 1000--that could be potentially lethal for someone particularly sensitive to it. Plus, you'd just feel like crap.

OK, another day@400. So far, it hasn't been all that bad. A bit sweaty last night, but once I fell asleep, I slept like a rock, and woke up normal time feeling fine.

I do have a few muscles (quads mostly) that feel a bit (not sure what the word is) sore. Maybe I need more electrolytes and potassium. Or it might be the landscaping I did yesterday, but it doesn't feel like THAT kind of sore.

Went against advice and weighed myself today. I feel all bloated from water, but was down about 1.5# today (beginning of day 4?).

The 15mg (half pill) of Phentermine helped a LOT yesterday.
 
Almost mid-day at 400mg. took my second 200mg a bit early today (cuz I thought it was later than it was). Did some more landscaping work around the yard, digging holes for trees, etc. Did a lot of sweating, but kept a half gallon of crystal lite near me. Went thru the whole thing in 2.5 hours. I sweat a LOT when I'm doing physical things, but if I'm just chilling, I'm totally OK.

I think the muscle pains in my quads had something to do with electrolytes. I ate 3 bananas for breakfast and drank a V-8 with a shot of tabasco and now I feel just fine.

I miss having a glass or two of good red wine with dinner. Probably wouldn't harm, but I have too much respect for this stuff to fuck with it. Studies have shown that serious physical side effects/death were highly correlated with high alcohol consumption, existing liver/kidney problems (for that reason, I'd be very nervous about doing any oral steriods while on this, or anything harsh on the liver like accutane). Also serious side effects are twice as common during summer than winter!

My energy continues to be good, and I don't know why. Other people have said that they're totally dead on DNP. I don't know if it's because I'm on 400 and not 600 (I'm only 170# or so though). Or maybe it's because I've been snacking on fruit. Or because of the T-3 (75mg a day), or the phentermine (even 15mg gives me a little "jolt"). But so far, this hasn't been nearly as awful as I thought it would be. "famous last words" ;)

We'll see what this does to my weight and fat% about a week after I'm off this stuff. I was originally planning to do 7 days at 400mg, for a total of 10 days. I may decide to extend this to a total of 2 weeks, if the side effects don't get worse.
