DNP Cycle Diary

OK...well, after a LOT of reading, I've decided to go on a DNP cycle.

I'm starting out at 175#, and need to drop 15 to be in good "fighting" shape.

I spent the last year working 12+ hour days in a very stressful job, and let myself go to hell. I've dropped about 10# with a better diet, but have reached a bit of a plateau there. It doesn't help that I'm now on the wrong side of 40. For you young wippersnappers....just wait until YOU turn 40 and YOUR metabolism crashes. Anyhow, I'm now only working half time, so if I feel a bit wiped out from the DNP, that's OK.

I'm sure a lot of other people out there are curious about DNP, so I'll try to keep people up to date with daily postings on this thread.

I feel a certain serious respect for DNP, so I'm going to do a mild cycle. I don't plan on doing more than 2 200mg capsules a day. 3 days of 200mg, the rest 200mg morning and 200mg 12 hours later. These are the "Version II" capsules provided by a certain Meso DNP Expert. I'll refer to him as "H" (who provided outstanding service and communication, btw). I recently had all my blood tests run, and everthing was within normal ranges.

The cycle will start this morning. Before I start, I plan to be stocking up on a few things:

* bananas (for potassium)
* various fruits - pears, peaches, melons, etc.
* powders for making good tasting fluids (some gatorade, crystal lite)
* glycerin
* benadryl (just in case)
* high fibre foods
* case of V8 juice 12oz cans

I already take a fist full of vitamins, anti-oxidants, supplements, herbs, etc., so I don't need to buy any of those. I'll be doing some T3 supplementation at a moderate level too.

Although I normally follow a reduced carb diet (not nearly as severe as Atkins, but maybe 100g a day or less--no refined carbs like white flour, bread, sugar, etc.), I won't be worried about carb grams while on the cycle. I will not be lifting or doing any intense cardio. We'll see how it goes.

Losing count here, but I'm pretty sure today is my 5th day. I'm surprised that my weight is down as much as it is (4.5 pounds), given that I've heard that this stuff causes water retention, and much of the weight "comes off" after you stop.

400mg is the most I can handle. If I took 600, I'd have to sleep in the bathtub with shower going.

I definitely learned not to eat carbs (like Pizza) for dinner. Bad idea.

6th day here. Will do 400 today again. Have not weighed myself today.

Energy continues to be good. Actually maybe even better than normal. I've read so many reports of being totally drained. I'm not sure why I haven't had that. Maybe it's because I stopped at 400, and didn't go to 600+. Maybe it's because I make sure I eat fructose. Or maybe it's the electrolytes in the V8 juice. Or maybe it's the 75mcg of T-3 I've been supplementing with.

It'll be time soon to decide where to go next with this. How long do I stay at 400? Will I go to 200mg after 400mg? How long will I stay at 200mg? I've got a week long trip coming up mid-next week. I definitely won't be doing 400mg/day while travelling.

Right now, I'm thinking of going down to 200 the day before the trip, and staying at 200 for the week-long trip. Or perhaps 200 EOD. That'll make for an approximately 14 day cycle.

Day 7. Going down to 200mg today. Down 4 pounds now.

Word to the wise: don't drink any alcohol on dnp. I had some people over for dinner last night and the 3 of us split a bottle of red wine. Not a big deal..that's about 1.5 glasses. Holy crap, feel like I drank a bottle by myself right now.

Post DNP Cycle entry.

OK. It's been about a week since my last DNP dose. Here's the summary:

1) I ran a cycle for about 9 days.

2) I started at 200mg and ended at 200mg. I took 25mcg of T3 throughout.

3) I maxed out at 400mg for about 4 days.

4) I dropped 4 pounds of fat--about 2.5% reduction in my BF%

5) I experienced minimal sides. Almost none at 200mg (other than I couldd turn the thermostat down to 66 and still be nice and comfy). At 400mg, I experienced a little bit of sweating under mild exertion, lots of sweating under major physical labor. Oh, and big carb cravings. And I learned that you'll get a huge hangover if you drink any amount of alcohol.

I certainly did NOT experience the "miracle" losses that other people have. I didn't lose 12 pounds of fat. **BUT** I didn't suffer and wish that I were dead, didn't do heavy doses, didn't starve, and I didn't do heavy cardio. I'm also a small guy (175#), so my baseline caloric needs are lower than most.

I don't know how else I'd lose 4# of fat in 1 week as easily as this. Overall, I think it was a good success, and I will do this again. The stuff works.

The "Generation II" caps were excellent.

Good idea not to go over 400. I have done that before and it is too much for me. I literally did not want to move off of my couch with the fan on High about 6 inches from me.

Again bro, excellent post and very informative. I think this is a good example of how low-dose DNP cycles can be effective without making you miserable. I don't know of any other way to lose 4 lbs of pure fat in about a week, period.
The "miracle" fat-loss results are usually seen with 600mg or more per day for a week, but that high of a dose is very uncomfortable for most people and takes some serious preparation and discipline. I think the miracle is that even at only 200mg per day and with a modest diet and minimal exercise one can still lose a surprising amount of fat. Nice work bro.

Here was mine

lost considerable weight around my stomach area(perfect for spring break time) along with use of yohimburn ES :)

Day 1: 200mg
Day 2: 200mg
Day 3: 200mg
Day 4: 200mg
Day 5: 400mg
Day 6: 600mg
Day 7: 600mg

On days 8-10 so far i have experienced very bad shortness of breath so bad that i breath really loudly and snort sometimes when i dont get enough air when i am sleeping so my girlfriend tells me
it got so bad she had to get up and go sleep somewhere else
i never snore or have those problems

after day 2 i was burning like no other all throughout the day....at work i would go out and stand in the 30 degree weather to cool off...but as soon as i stepped back into the office sweating my ass off again.

didnt really notice that eating more carb saturated foods made me hotter

i did notice last night (which was my second day off of dnp) i had a little glass of rum
fuck i had to cut that shit out
made me feel like shit

Yes, as has been mentioned previously alcohol is NOT a good idea on DNP, or any other recreational items one might wish to partake in. I have been guilty of having a few beers myself while on cycle, but it's not very enjoyable and given the possible ramifications I think it's best to just wait that week or two until you're done.
The shallow breathing is a common thing, it happens to me at 600mg or above, I remember reading somewhere that it has something to do with the body burning fat. For some reason when the body is going through fat that much it makes your breathing shallow, I don't remember the exact reason though.

Do you have any evidence/proof of that statement?

i know its an old thread, but for those interested, dnp is less efficacious over time because of dnp induced hypothyroidism, which is the basis of a patent (lost the link) for a dnp regimen with concurrent thyroxine

cheers
