Do I have everything I need?

Hey guys first time brewing here. Just got my RAWS and now going to purchase supplies but want to make sure I have everything.

Scale
50ml BB
50ml BA
10ml glass sealed vials
2 glass beakers
30ml syringe
18g needles
Whatman filter (do I want .2 or .45)
Carrier oil (heard mct is popular?)

Is this everything I will need? I'm familiar with the process the only thing that confuses me is the filtration process but I'm a visual learner I can't tell unless I see it in person. I will be brewing test p, tren a, mast p and EQ.

Hotplate
60cc syringe (30 could do)
Caulk gun to put the loaded 30cc syringe into
.2 filters!
Zip ties (to keep the syringe in the gun)
25g needles to vent with

You may want to pick up some more BB depending on how much of each compound you're brewing. Better to have more than not enough.

And if you are brewing larger amounts of highly suggest using bottle top filters and a vacuum pump, because you will be sick and tired of working with syringe filters the second you start.

Just what to thank everyone who has gave there info and yrs of knowledge in the homebrew section in general . I have read everything at least twice . and I a going to give it a shot . I think I have enough knowledge to at least fuck up once or twice before I have success . my only issue is the whole autoclave thing . obviously I don't have a sterile lab . so I think I should possibly invest in one .because I would like to cap and crimp Vs precaped sterile .
And I do plan on brewing more than enough . but will only brew small amounts till I am comfortable with the larger amounts .
I ready have a vacuum pump that I use for A/C . which is a 6cfm robinair pump . And I can't govern the vacuum pressure . is the high cfm pump beneficial in the filter process ?
Or will it pull to much vacuum and affect the filter process?
Also I know I would lose product each filter .but I am considering filtering twice .Is this overkill? And if not what is the pros Vs con's abt the second filtering process ?

And what are the recommended filters?
I don't mind investing more money in equipment as I will get the use intended out of it. Any advice is appreciated. in advance

I've was told with vacuum pump add a Gauge and u put a valve that you can open to limit the amount of pressure the pump creates. .2 filters and I like gso as carrier. And get a glass stir rod... I use coffee filters to dry things (no fibers like paper towels). I like to clean glass ware with drop of dish soap rinse then alcohol 90% and the distilled water rinse. I like 10ml syringes to measure BB and carrier oil... Most beakers are not correctly marked...

Yeah I am definitely going to put a pressure relief valve and gauge inline of the filter . If I use this pump . Which I all most likely use because I am going to try and setup a 2 stage filter system .

What is the difference in GSO Vs MCT or grape seed as a carrier?
Is there anything different in the brewing process if GSO is being used.
Just not familiar with GSO

Gso is grape seed oil... If u don't have any reaction to mct then that works. Really and cold pressed oil is fine. You don't want the oil to be treated with chemicals or high temperatures. I just use a hand pump with bottle top filters but caulk gun and syringe filter works for small batches.

Duh I am a idiot . abt the GSO . lol
For some reason I was thinking it was something else.

So is there any benefits to filter twice ?
Or is it overkill?

My theory is if I filter twice the gear will be cleaner .

Heated magnetic stirplate and a stir rod will make your brewing experience alot easier not to mention that you can stir it for an hour if you wanted to while putting in sets in the other room

Yeah I was going to definitely invest in one . there not a ton of $$$ .
Hey so I have heard several different method of filtering , disinfectant , sterilizing process , and vial . And I have my plan all planned out and the list of goods . So let me get y'alls opinion . would you have all shipped at once or piece it out and find addresses to borrow for packs

I wouldnt bother splitting up orders of brewing supplies. The only things that will probably draw attention would be pill press or an autoclave if ordered from the wrong person (some sellers of autoclaves will report who they sell it to)

Yeah definitely .
I appreciate all everyone's help . and I'm sure I will have more as I go .I will post pics . just give me a couple weeks to get some extra time to get it together .

Honestly man I said the same thing about wanting to use a syringe filter until I get the hang of it... But I brewed 100ml and said fuck this and made another purchase for a pump setup and basically would have cost the same if I went straight into bottle top filters.

Yeah I can see that . I have a pump but probably to big . but I am gonna have a nice filtering system .

What is the best way to transfer gear from media bottle ( after filtering) to vials (sterile vial without cap ( gonna crimp on s sterile amp)
But I was needing to now if just pouring into each vial will contaminate gear .or should I invest in a hand pump to transfer and fill vials?

They make these caps called septa caps. And it's a cap you screw on the media bottle and it has a giant rubber stopper on it.

But how should I transfer sterile oil from media bottle to vial
If you get a 12ml sterile syringe you can pull out up to 12ml to put into the vial. If you are using sterile vials vent the sterile vial with another syringe. Or you can transfer to a 50 or 100ml vial and then just pull out of it with a 12ml or 60ml syringe into your 10ml or 20ml vials

OK this is what I was gonna do . was just concerned about sticking a syringe in media bottle would put the sanitation at risk .
