Amlodipine is tolerated by the overwhelming majority with no sides. It's one of the most prescribed BP drugs in the world. I've used it myself for years, alone, then combined with Valsartan, then Telm.
I only mention "tolerance" because so many here seem to complain about, especially, swollen legs/feet. This, in the rare cases it happens, usually resolves in a month after the body adjusts to it. Unfortunately, when it doesn't, it's a sign of preexisting heart failure or kidney problems.
Nebiv is best in class for what it does, but are you using it for BP or do you have high heart rate? A beta blocker is typically the last thing used when treating high BP and only as a last resort.
The most up to date standards recommend 2 or 3 low dose meds from different classes, ie, CCB, ARB, diuretic, then add beta blocker if necessary. This is considered preferable to a single med at a higher. dose.
Combo pills are the best, since patients adhere to taking one pill at a much higher rate.
Telm is the king of ARBs. It has one major advantage over the others(Valsartan, all the "artans"). one pill a day lowers the crucial early morning "surge BP". This is the primary reason people wake up to find their spouse dead, and Telm lowers it more effectively than any other BP med.
If you have insurance you can get a 90 day prescrip for the combo pills from a telemedicine doc in 5 mins for $30 or order from India PCT, Let me know if you want help with either.
