Does Ephedrine make it harder to shed belly fat?

Hello guys. How you guys doing.

Recently I heard some weird statement from my gym buddy that although Ephedrine boosts your metabolism and thus increase your BMR, it actually makes it harder to lose fat in the belly area.
He said something about alpha receptor and beta receptor but I didn't really understand what he was talking about. But he seemed to mean that Ephedrine sheds fat in the whole body (including belly fat) but turns on this certain receptor in the belly area (which makes it easier to store fat in the belly area) at the same time so that fat burning effect is outweighed by the fat storing effect in the belly area of Ephedrine. He added that for other body parts, Ephedrine is effective.

He said, on the other hand, Clenbuterol makes it easier to shed belly fat.

Is he right?
If he is right, then I should stop Ephedrine right away cuz majority of my fat is concentrated in my belly....

your help will be much appreciated. Thanks guys.

I agree he is full of shit... At least in my experiences, ephedrine doesn't discriminate against the types of fat it burns. Its metabolic, everything burns off... And your BP may go through the roof.. Mine does... But damn it works well... Especially the ECA stack...
Good Luck!

Ephedrine works on alpha and beta 2 receptors while clen works almost exclusively on beta 2 receptors. Beta 2 receptors promote fat loss while alpha 2 receptors inhibit fat loss. In the stomach and hips, the stubborn fat areas for most people, there is an increased ratio of alpha 2 to beta 2 receptors which is why it's harder to lose fat in those areas or the fat in those areas tends to come off last. There are other issues like blood flow and cathecholimines etc.

So while ephedrine does act on both receptors, for it to make a significant impact on fat loss or gain would depend on just how much it activates alpha vs beta 2 receptors....it isn't much as far as I know. Plus the increased duration of activity of ephedrine and caffeine further promotes better fat loss.

Cliff notes: don't worry about it
