Does the thickness of amps affect quality/expiration?

I’ve used amps from Alpha Pharma that is very easy to crack open. Now when I switched to Deus Medical their amps is impossible to open and I had to make grooves with a hacksaw in order to open them (now they open up perfect). So I started to ”pre-saw” amps, and thought about if the glass might get to thin or something which might affect the oil expiration date? Could it be an issue or am I overthinking it?

Borosilicate is not letting anything through, no matter how thin. As long as you dont saw through and leave it to air exposure then your fine.

As long as air is not getting in there is no issue from sawing. and even if air got in it would take some time for that to effect potency to any degree. Light and heat are the bigger issues.
