Early 40's and TRT did nothing for me...

I am 41 and have been lifting since I was 16. I am a big strong guy, yes, but even after improving my diet and taking TRT for 11 weeks now I see little improvement.

I am 6'3 and about 295. BF is around 17%. I am still the strongest guy in my gym, granted nothing like I used to be.

I started TRT about 11 weeks ago. I started with 400 test blend. I used it only once a week for the first 4 or 5 weeks, not knowing that was wrong. The last 4 weeks (I was on for 8 weeks) I pinned every 3rd day. I never used more than 300 a week, usually 150mg twice a week or every 3 days. Yes, my appetite improved, and I used this to eat better and more. I admit I am trying to cut more than bulk, but even with cardio I expected to see more. All I got was slightly fuller arms and minor improvement in vascularity. NO STRENGTH GAINS. I did like the good mood feeling it gave me, so I decided to blast and cruise the rest of my life. I moved on to Test E, which I pin every 3rd or 4th day at around 125mg. I still see no strength gains, and only minor physique improvements. No, I never got tested or did blood work tests (most people don't). I want to get jacked. I eat good, have high protein and low carbs, but I am just not seeing the results I want. I want to get 30% stronger on my lifts and look hard as a rock. What needs to change?

For estrogen control I used Letrozole. I break the 2.5 mg tabs up into parts and take a tiny part every other day. No problems whatsoever with sides so far, being 11 weeks in.
 
Sample diet =
1 - 8 eggs fried with hotsauce only
2 - canned chicken (wash off and sift out salt) with cherry tomatoes or plan B is cottage cheese (whole container) with cherry tomatoes. Sometimes I used left over chicken breast chunks.
3 - protein shake on way to gym
4 - (dinner) steak and eggs or something like a chicken spinach salad. Sometimes I have steak and sweat potatoes. I eat a lot, but it is usually healthy.
*I do drink a lot of beer. It is the only issue I have, but I try to only drink every 2 or 3 days. I mix low carb days in every 3rd day, where I have virtually no carbs.

Fix diet or training. Ur not gonna see much cutting on trt
 
Get blood tests to confirm that your testosterone levels are where they should be. Hormone tests are cheap on sites like privatemdlabs.

300 mg per week won't give you dramatic gains in 8 weeks even if you have the real thing. TRT is about improving your overall quality of life over the long run.

Sound alike u haven’t tracked any of ur calories or protein and carbs to me

3. Where did you get the gear from?
4. How do you know you need TRT if you didn't get tests?

Thanks for the replies, my protein does fluctuate, I have never been one to count but I assure I eat good enough most of the time.

I realize I must blast to get some gains, guess I just thought I could see results from T only.

I may be 15 - 17%, I am not fat but I am a few extra pounds. I do cardio regularly, and can see my vein in my arms and shoulder. Abbs are starting to show, but I am still holding fat around lower abbs.

I got my gear from 1) steroids warehouse in England (test blend 400 from axa pharm) and 2) from roidseek.com which shipped the test E from Greece.

I know I need TRT because I have been plateaued at my lifts since I have been about 36 or 37, and I train hard as f*ck.

I think you are confused on the meaning of TRT. TRT is Testosterone Replacement Therapy ie for people whos body doesn't make it. Has absolutely zero to do with your lifts, its a medical thing.

You are looking to blast.

Thanks, I guess that is the answer. I will blast and report back. Any recommendations? I will continue the 250 - 300 test E every 6 to 8 days, and add maybe 100 - 200 a week deca and maybe some anavar? I will keep reading and learning about how to blast while on blast / cruise for life.

Yeah. Don’t order from those places they sound generic as hell

I don't understand why you made the decision to blast and cruise with no bloodwork or anything. Your natural test level could be 1000. If you want to get stronger train to get stronger. If you want to cut eat and train for a cut. Adding drugs isn't the only part of the equation
