Easy touch low dead space syringe (pointed plunger tip) sucks

That little plunger tip that you see protruding in the syringe takes away volume and your dose includes what’s in the needle hub.

But you can’t even get everything out of the needle hub when you inject which forces you to do the airlock method.

Which is what made me realize that dead space is actually not accounted for in your dose.

I drew to .8 pushed back in so it would go to .5 exactly ( with oil in needle hub)

Took syringe/needle out of vial. Drew air bubble( just enough so what’s in the needle hub is released (dead space)

Flipped the plunger upsaid down so air bubble goes to top and then pressed plunger back down so needle hub would be filled with oil and ready to inject.

To my surprise it now was only filled up to the .45ml line with air bubble line at .5ml.

I’m not using those needles anymore. 2023 and they still can’t figure it out.

Sol-M needles are the only fixed needles like insulin syringes that come in 1inch 1.5 inch 5/8 inch 1/2 inch with 23g 25g 27g but you can’t buy them for personal use only medical stores can buy them and no medical store Carrys them

How fucking hard is it to make a needle that gets your proper dose ?

Might just switch to insulin syringe and try my delts. At this point and ditch my 23g 1.5 inch

I pay 250 a vial through a compounding pharmacy might ditch that soon tho.

Getting too expensive.

Glad you laughed out loud pal .
For the pharma stuff I guess just keep using the air bubble method. In the future I would look for a cheaper source that way it's not such a big deal to waste a little.

Are the pharma vials overfilled a little? Like 10.5 or 11 ml?
I was able to get us generic ones the first few refills like Watson or some name like that when I first joined I forget the exact name but it was one that you’d get at ur local cvs or Walgreens.

Those didn’t seem to come up too short from my memory.

Then they switched to a compounding pharmacy and the last two vials I only got around 8.5-9ml out of it.

So their compounding pharmacy doesn’t overfil at all.

I’d keep paying the 250 if they went back to the cvs ones but idk about their compounding pharmacy now. Doesn’t seem worth it.

It’s a wasted 25+ dollars each vial with the dead space problem

Personally I would keep the script for legal reasons. That way you can easily travel with your test. And from a source on here you can get 20 vials of good test for what you are paying for 1.

Yeah thinking of doing this.

I could switch to an in person clinic in my area.

500 bucks first visit. 250 bucks every 6 months.

First year 1k $ roughly 83 a month
Following years 500 $ roughly 42 a month

(Plus cost of good rx vial )

And they call your script in to your pharmacy or choice and let you use good Rx.

I’m thinking of ditching my online clinic and trying that one

Just use the airlock method? I use "zero dead space needles" too but still push it out with the air bubble. Problem solved, doesn't hurt anything. Even if you got a true zero dead space barrel, there would still be oil left in the needle itself, unless again you push it out with air.

I do use airlock. It still doesn’t get it all out.

I heard insulin pins are the only ones that leave nothing behind. But I personally have never used them yet

Yeah insulin pins still leave a teeeeny amount behind, but definitely not as much as if you were using big old harpoons. I highly recommend pinning with smaller gauge needles such as those. Less scar tissue over time as well.

I’m going to try some 27g 5/8 in my delts. See how that goes.

Plus the delts got the most androgen receptors in the body so maybe it’ll be better than my glutes

If the 23g 1.5 had no dead space I’d stay with them.

But every time I see oil left behind in the rig in pisses me off. Almost makes me want to do another pin and say oh yeah you Wana leave some behind ? How about now mother fucker and just jam it in as hard as I can.

But I’ll try the insulin ones and see how that goes

These are the fixed ones I want. Basically insulin syringes but they are 1 inch and 1.5 inch. Also got 5/8 inch

Maybe I’ll ask Santa for them this year. No one seems to carry them. And you can’t buy them directly.

I just did a practice run with some left over 25g 1 inch in my delt. Just stuck the needle in no barrell attached.

Didn’t realize how easy the delts were. I didn’t feel a thing. Plus it beats turning around and trying to hit your glutes. Sometimes depending on the angle I’d hit it at I’d be getting a rib cramp from being twisted in that position

I’ll just have to look in the mirror while doing delts

Or put my arm on the bed at a 90 degree angle and let the muscle relax then I can see it better.

I’m going to try 27 g 5/8 insulin so I don’t have to waste anymore.
