Eddie Hall - 1,025 lb Deadlift

Amazing! Interesting article too:

The final test was for Hall to squat-lift 150kg eight times, to see the increase in his heart rate and also his recovery. His heart rate spiked at just 132 beats per minute and he recovered straight away.

Dr Peter Jones, head of the department, said: "He's lifting a weight that is twice my body very, very easily, eight times. He's producing a huge amount of force, but has this amazing cardiovascular physiology in order to be able to do that.

10k calories a day would give me a huge gut too ha... I've always wondered about how a few of them maintain such lean looking abs with the amount of calories they put down.

Damn. Kind of makes you think if its all worth it. But I cant fault anyone for following their dream.

It's crazy the toll it takes on many of them. I have huge respect for these guys because of the dedication to performing at that level. Every year several competitors head right to the hospital after the competition to get fixed up. The mountain tore his bicep this year on a 970 pound Deadlift I think it was. Shaw had to get a tendon reattached or some damn thing last year I believe.

The article below is a mindfuck to me but ties into this -

Price of the Platform

Yeah, saw that. not taking away from Hall, but in comparison to how clean and effortless Shaw always looks when pulling, he looked like shit. lol. I know it's an incredible amount of weight, I'm just saying
