Basically, test attached to its ester is inert - unuseable by the body. Only free test (test without its ester) is useable. Therefore, with a longer chain ester such as those previously mentioned, it takes more time for the ester to be cleaved off (hence the longer half lives of those esters), releasing free test (again, the useable form of test). Therefore, at the bginning of a cycle, to speed up the rate at which blood concentrations of free test are optimal, you frontload. Again, I highly recommend frontloading, even if you are using an oral (A50, Dbol etc..) at the beginning of a cycle.
