feeling bloated after drinking whey protein

This is the main reason I dropped all whey products. I switched to egg protein and I feel hundred times better. No bloaty gut either.
I remember trying out a whey protein blend that contained egg protein and it was the only whey protein that didn't make me feel uncomfortable.

I heard that plant based protein aren't absorbed as good as animal protein
Total and complete bullshit. Just like the long standing myth that soy has estrogen and or elevated estrogen... pull the studies. 88 studies showing soy benefits, zero studies showing what the agriculture industry spends so much to make us believe.

I went vegan for about 18 months about 2 years ago. Ate about 180 grams of soy based protein daily the whole time- I was able to not have to take any letro instead of the twice a week regimen I had been on... the isoflavones in soy actually act as a light serm... the opposite of what the general "knowledge" on the topic is. Kept my weight up- felt amazing. At the end of the day it was too much work since I travel often so I eat whatever when I am out and dont buy meat for the house and wouldn't touch dairy with a ten foot pole. Migraines gone, acne gone, BP 160/100 to 115/75, cholesterol 280 to 115, heart rate went from high 80s to low 60s all in 90 days vegan. Amazing what a difference it makes when you remove shit out of your diet- unfortunate they make it so difficult to get healthy food in public or I never would have fallen off.

I was vegan for 10 years, a veghead for almost 20 years (back to eating mostly fish, eggs, some chicken and rarely beef).

I had a hard time digesting soy. It gave me bad gas, constipation etc.......
About year 2, I dropped all soy except once in a while some Tempeh. I did okay on that, but dropped that all together too. my main sources of protein became beans, raw nuts, lentils and other legumes. It worked fine for a while, but at the time my job (climbing wind towers) and training, I felt drained.

Soy is not the best thing for you. It's high in herbicides and pesticides, plus is not that easily digestible like I said. The Phytates alone block zinc and calcium uptake. The monks many moons ago knew of this (it's in Traditional Chinese Medicine Literature) and was the main reason for their consumption of soy. With the Phytates blocking zinc and lower cholesterol levels it tanked their sex drive (of course the monks didn't know the science, but figured out if they eat soy they don't want to donk their fellow monk).

I didn't ever have any issues with Estrogen conversation while eating soy or being a veghead, but my sex drive on and off cycle was never outstanding. The doctor said it was because my cholesterol was so low.

Not trying to start a debate here, but I thought I would give some insight from my years of experience.

Effect of Soy Protein on Testosterone Levels

I didn’t eat dairy for 7 years and now I’m back on it with Zero Bloat!! I’ve been using ON pro complex gainer adding a banana, 1 cup oats , 3 tbls PB and Vegan protein milk and water.

I think it’s about 1200cals, 80g protein, 115g carbs some fat, who cares!! o_O
No stomach discomfort what so ever..

Oh this fills two blender bottles. One I sip throughout the day the other post workout. If your not using a blender for your smoothies your a moron. You deserve a stomach ache if chug down a thick cup of milk and powder only shaken. Get with the fucking times!!

Yes, I am sure a blender sure would help.

I had the same problem, I switched to grass fed beef protein and it digests so much better for me. I get the chocolate peanut butter cup from truenutrition. I like It better then the whey one thankfully.. It wasn't until i switched over that i realized how much it was bothering me.

Yep, same here on that one. I also add collagen to the shake, Greek full fat yogurt (still has 22g protein per cup) and fairlife milk, which is lactose free. Stomach is much happier, not to mention my family!

Myprotein US is having a blowout sale. they're offering 35% off plus free shipping. stock up as much as you can

This. I purchased 11lbs of their isolate a few days ago. Should be here this weekend. I signed up and used a referral code i found in the reviews. It literally came out to like $48 for 11lbs... 200 servings. I couldn’t pass it up.

It was my first time buying from myprotein so I got the 11lbs of chocolate smooth to try out and a 2.2lb order of creatine.

Creatine is a steroid. That’s why I’m here. Bout to cycle this shit and get fuckin big.

I just got the chocolate smooth isolate and it indeed is smooth. Zero chalkiness. Mixes extremely well in a blender bottle. 3 servings in 16oz of water with 5g creatine is tasty.

I know you weren’t looking for an isolate. But just wanted to give my review of the myprotein isolate Incase anyone else was on the fence about it.

It’s not too sweet at all. I’m real glad I bought the 11lb bag of it. However, I haven’t found a scoop in the bag yet. I don’t think it comes with one so i took the scoop out of my old protein. Works well. Just need to weigh it to find out how much powder is actually in the new scoop. No biggie at all.
