We're both completely different labs with no affiliation with one another.

I just skimmed through for now but the two things that jumped out are you claiming a room with no airflow is inherently sterile, it’s not, and I’m not taking the time to explain why.

Second, anything you’ve already brewed is completely worthless and a hazard to client health. PES is not a suitable filter for brewing and never will be, if you read the manufacturers specifications before buying you would have known this when it says NOT RECOMMENDED for the solvents used in brewing. It doesn’t matter what you think or your past results, there’s a reason no manufacturer has ever recommended PES filters for our solvents.

Hey mp46 thank you for taking the time to vet. We use a PES to filter our first product. Then we use a Zapcap-S for the second. We saw a solvent compatibity chart saw that included PES, Nylon, CA, and PVDF and they all had limited compatibility and just chose the former. I chose a Zapcap-S too since Titanium used used this in his intro post and people responded well to it.

I chose this one because from my reading I saw a solvent compatibity chart and noticed that PES, Nylon, CA, and PVDF all had a limited compatibility and just chose the former. I chose a Zapcap-S for my second fintoo since Titanium used this as well.

Eje1990, understandable. I should have came in with bloodwork but I came in without it. Apologies. I've been on my products for a for weeks and everything is good to go. I believed that if I were to send in finished product test results it would have been void since it was going to be me who submits them. I will compensate anyone who wants to send in my finished products/bloodwork with store credit and a free refill of whatever you sent in. I know studying and in-field experience is different but I believed it was I believe I'm ready to grow more with the community.

Tails seemed to be a better choice for an OS since everything is deleted if you don't create a persistant volume. Which we don't. Everything is taken care of here and we intend to keep it that way. Sherlock only deals with domestic raws and we do not have any affiliation with any other labs or source powder providers.

Exactly. PES has a habit of “melting” in some solvents and the funnel container is often polystyrene which is the cause for a lot of home brewers getting cloudy solutions. Meaning the shit that “melts” is still getting through filters.

A. Qubes sounded great! I wanted to use that OS but I hear even running tails off of a VM in Qubes could compromise you. So I decided that I'm running tails off a brand new USB stick. Verified it and everything. Inserted it into a new computer free from any personal data. No persistent volume. Everything is gone once there is a reboot.

B. I'll get to them.

C. Let's just say we're in the green when it comes to loggnig and being in the jurisdiction of the 14 eyes.

D. Not sure. I flipped a coin and chose Kodak because I grew up with those cameras.

Work calls so I'll be back in a few hours.

I apologize. I saw another source who used this filter as their initial filtering unit and deemed it alright in my eyes It was an oversight and will switch to different filters from here on out. I should have known better and will remedy more issues if they were to arise.

I chose Fendi because the place of my employment everyone wears Fendi hell even some gay guys wear it here too. Nothing but love for them. The brand is always in my subconscious and I just I thought it should just stick.


The reason I type like this is because all my places of employment required a strict guideline on how to respond to email chains if communication was required. Now it makes me question if I should continue typing this way in order to prevent comparisons to other labs.

I wrote a reply prior to your post addressing the earlier posts but it's awaiting the moderators approval, so it may take time for it to show up. I don't want you guys thinking I'm skipping anything.

I was planning on just labeling them with stickers for now. Color coded to distinguish which oil is what. Then a numbered sticker to tell the batch number. I had labels all in mind but after reading more into it, it would be wise for me to opt out, at least until I can find a safer laser printer.
