That’s awesome brother! It’s a hell of an achievement to lose that amount of weight and keep it off for an extended period of time. It hasn’t been about dieting for me, what’s worked for me is changing my entire lifestyle and making health and fitness a priority in my life.
It’s totally normal to carry some body fat on you cause it’s not a pleasant feeling being as lean as I was for this show, for example. You’re just constantly fatigued, hungry, and cranky, you don’t get any pumps in the gym, and I was honestly not a fun person to be around the last month or so of the prep. And, as you can tell from my photos, I have some loose skin but you won’t know how much you have until you get truly lean so I would say it may be worth it to get stage lean at least once to see what you’re working with in terms of loose skin then decide if you want to try and do something about it. I was pleasantly surprised with the appearance of my skin cause I was afraid that when I got stage lean I would have execessive loose skin to the point that it would stop me from getting on stage but both my coach and I agreed it was not nearly as bad as we thought it could be considering how fat I was. I got some good tips for tightening my loose skin from some very knowledgeable people at the show I competed in that I’ll share with you - first was cryotherapy sessions focused on the areas of loose skin. Another was daily aloe Vera and vitamin e creams applied to the areas. Another tip I got was applying ice to the areas where the skin is loose for one minute on, one minute off over a 20 minute period a couple times a day leading up to a competition or any time you want to present the best physique possible. And, finally, yohimbine based topicals were also recommended to me for use as the show approaches to help pull the water from underneath the loose skin and make it appear tighter than it is. Hope this helps!
