Franchise24 training log 2016/2017

Did they still allow you to attempt your other lifts without them counting? I've read that sometimes even if you fail to complete a lift, they sometimes allow you to stay in the competition but just don't count your totals.
No they didn't let compete in the other lifts.
 
I will continue this log until I finish my last meet. Plan is to do two more. One on December 2nd and one on December 16th. This going to be rough. But if I train smart and hard listen to my body and treat and fed it right. I should be good to go. Back to hitting the weights tomorrow with a burning desire to hit 600 on my squat and bury that shit. I wish I knew how to edit the vid to post it.

No, if you get DQ'ed on all three of any of the lifts you're done for the day. I've seen it more on bench than squat because a lot of people have trouble with the commands.

The more I look at the video the more also realize another issue. The issue was wrapping my knees. I placed way to much wrap right behind my knee. When I feel my hamstrings hit the wraps is a cue for me to come up. I should have wrapped 5 revolutions up then cross down lock it in with one revolution at the bottom them cross it back up over the knee forming an x over the knee and then 1-2 revolutions at the top locking the x pattern in. I had 3-4 extra revolutions behind my knee after watching the wraps were more stopping power than I liked and would't let me hit my depth.

So I have 3 things I need to work on. First and foremost is:
  1. The obvious just bury the squat. Work on technique.
  2. Not take the full week off prior to the meet go in and do some light lifting.
  3. And practice wrapping my knees and working with my knee wraps more.

High Bar Squat:
235 4x8
275 4x3

Bench:
255 6x4

Comp Bench:
275 5x5

I can feel my body needing recovery from squatting. Goal is to bulk a bit build some muscle in my hamstrings quads upper back lats and biceps. Made sure it was ass to grass. I switched from Oly shoes to flats. I like much better. Volume and frequency will be the name of the game for the next 4-5 weeks.

I felt good today not bad. Overall good workout.
 
I failed to mention that I was taking no more than a minute rest between sets. It was killing me. Another thing I need to improve conditioning. Which is to easy. Less rest and some sprints once twice a week will get it done.
Try the stairmaster...it will make your legs burrrn to boot.

My conditioning sucks. And now that I'm on tren my breathing is starting to suck now also.

Tren doesn't hurt my cardio much. But Deca does. My body has to get used to the volume and frequency I am going to be throwing at it. I took a little easy today. I was still feeling the affects from the 565 pound squat attempt. But I need to build more muscle. I will go on a mini bulk. I am dropping the cycle finally and will be causing on 200mgs/test for 4 weeks then bump it up. At that point I will be 8 weeks out from my meet and the hormones and training will be peaking. I will get back down to 220 from 230. I can get these 10-14 pounds on trt and diet. I know training is going to be solid as well. Once I reintroduce exogenous test and other compounds the strength will shoot up.
 
I love the prowl for conditioning.. Load 10 plates on that bitch and either do sprints pushing it, or just slow walk it for a mile... You'll die, but your conditioning will improve exponentially..

Maybe don't start at 10 plates though lol...i remember doing one plate on each side, and 100m sprints... Puking my face off after about 5 sprints...

Current gym doesn't have one. But I meet with a hall of fame powerlifter tomorrow that is opening a new private gym and I am sure his gym will have it. Hopefully.
 
I got two made for me by a guy I know that welds for a living..hes a competitive strongman here in Ontario.. Or he was. Builds equipment on the side. Think I paid 150 each...
