Sounds like the surgery went well. He sounds happy but maybe that's the pain meds talking! Haha

He did say that they removed a vertebrae and as a result he is now one inch shorter.

He is in pain but in good spirits and already blowing me up with "cankle" pics. lol Crazy ass Tank, obsessed with them cankles!

I'm about to go see him he bit off a piece of his tung when they put him to sleep and he can't afford to get any shorter he's only 5 8 lol

Pretty sure he was fucked up pre all this. My mri looks similar but in my L vertebrae's! Shit's painful and kills all kinds of nerves! I cannot feel most of my right leg and foot!

Painful is a bold understatement. I went thru a 10 mg iv morphine, 4mg iv Dilaudid and phentynol at a dose measured in micrograms iv as well all in a 30 minute window. What kicked it in was the 10 mg valium they gave me. 3 times before surgery i hit the ground screaming, and I'm not scared to tell y'all that I was crying. After surgery I felt a ton of relief but I'm still in pain. My motor skills are lacking. Also did some pt today. Equilibrium is fucked. Here's the kicker tho. Surgeon told me if all goes well, I can be under the weights in 3 months. Lightweight of course. Hella hyped. I'll keep ya posted

Well sounds like all is going well big bro. I bet you was happy as fuck when the surgeon said you can get under the weights again. Time to start working out fst style;):D:cool:
 
Be careful with the pain meds Frank. I've had a history of addiction. I do not know if that is the case with you. But I do know many BBers or juicers have some stuff. Anyways, I hurt L4/L5 deadlifting over a year ago and painmeds sidelined me almost as long as the injury itself. I started losing interest in fitness. Got depressed and only felt better on the pills or fucking. Be well and get well.

2 herniated discs. Another so bad it's lodged into my spinal chord. They will try and clean it up and repair me with pins and bolts also using cadaver bone and my bone as well. There is a chance they will have to remove a small piece of my spine cuz the disc is pretty lodged in there. That would slow me down for good. I'm also looking at long term pain management...

I also just wanna give warning to you @TorroXL about those pain killers, be very careful! My sister was in a drunk driving accident and broke her back, she got put onto oxy's for life to deal with her pain and sadly to sum it up that was basically the beginning of the end for her, ruined her life she became an addict for several year's moving onto the harder opiates. Thankfully that chapter of her life is over and she beat her addictions.

I'm not trying to take away anything for your story just trying to relate the only way I can bro. Seen to many people get caught up on legal med's and shit spiral's out of control. Could only imagine the pain your in but if they try to prescribe you an opiate I would steer clear. Best of luck to you man, get better.

If i could offer you one piece of advice @TorroXL its take the recovery, PT, OT part as serious as you would training. my father has been through what you've been through TWICE, and also has something like 6 fused discs. he is a mess, to be blunt. every time it was because he didn't take the appropriate time and actions in regards to recovering. i was over there the other day and he had to be rushed to the ER for the second time in a week. (other aliments that are cause by his back/knee pain) i cried on my way home because my father is a shell of what he once was and probably wont see another 10 years on this planet.

take your recovery just as serious as you would your training. do EVERYTHING the DR/PT/OT say to do. and if you can put some extra work in the recovery department, do it. you're in much better shape than my father was when he started having back problems, so i have high hopes for you. this just hits super close to home.

Hey man glad to hear surgery was successful and that one day you'll be able to get under the iron again.

For all the people saying becarful of the pain killers, simmer down the man is in extreme pain in the hospital post surgery being monitored day and night. He's a tough SOB so if it's needed right now then it's needed and he cares more about his recovery and his training long term then a couple pills, there's been bumps in the road but unless you've layed in the bed he's laying in now you have no idea what a it does to someone so determined. I've layed in the bed thinking I'd never walk and hell ya I took my percocets and morphine every time the drs said I could use it but the second I was up and recovering it's a mission to become the man you once were and more. You'll be there tank keep grinding my man the fights never over and I know you ain't got no quit in you
