fruit on low carb diet

Guys...I've been dieting for the past 9 weeks and lost 34 pounds...down from 244lbs...I'm cut up but I worry about eating anything with fruit because of the sugar (fructose)...is it ok to have some fruit in my diet? like one or two apples/day?

IF you're running a legit CKD or PSMF or any of the other various "carbs are the devil" diets, then, no, you shouldn't be eating fruit. If, however, you've simply lowered your calories and fat and carbs are the sources from which you took to lower them, then some fruit is fine. All you have to do is remove some oatmeal or whatever in order to compensate for the new calories.

What I mean is, if you're eating 3k calories/day and you want a banana, then you eat a little less of something else so you can eat the banana and still be at the 3k level.

I'm just following a low carb, low fat diet, high protein...I was taking clen and t3...I was 244lbs but a lot of mass with some fat and I needed to lose weight fast because I have really bad back problems. At 244 it just wasn't cutting it anymore so my doctor, my grandfather (chiropractor) and two doctors at my school told me I should lose at least 30 pounds and I lost 34lbs taking the t3, clen and some test to counteract the catabolic effects of the t3 (won't lose muscle). I feel better now but I really watch everything I eat and make sure I don't eat too much sugar, carbs or fat. I stay within 150-175 carbs/day and 300/350 grams protein/day. I always thought apples were moderately glycemic but I'm probably wrong as usual. Also...I've been getting REALLY REALLY hungry late at night and a protein shake w/ zero grams of carbs (natures best isopure) just isn't cutting it...do you think it's because I'm not eating enough carbs during the daytime?

At night, try drinking a caisin(milk protien) shake. It's a much slower burning protien than whey and it mixes up much thicker than whey so it's more filling.

Some tidbits.

Whey shakes spike insulin.

Fat supresses insulin in a meal.

Fiber supresses insulin in a meal.

3500 cals to gain or lose just one lb of weight.

Some muscle loss is Inevitable during dieting for fat loss.

Some fat gain is Inevitable during weight gain.

Higher percentage of body fat guys can lose more percent of bodyfat when dieting than leaner guys.

Leaner guys can gain more muscle and less percent of fat than guys that are higher percent of bodyfat.

1 gallon of ice water burns 150 more calories than regular water.

I have a ton of tidbits on another board I will post them later.
