i've been running QV Enanthate and EQ for about 5 weeks now and my lagging body part is my chest....and I HIT IT SOOOO FUCKIN HARD....compound sets, drop sets, heavy straight sets, supersets...you name it. Any of you bros have a money chest workout I can throw in? I'm gettin desperate as I know I need to take advantage of these weeks when the gear has kicked in....only got five weeks left.....thanks

some just cant get the chest they want, I have a good chest but lack in my arms.

it could be you are overtraining with all of that work - sometimes we do that as we get obssessed with those lagging parts - I would suggest a basic but heavy workout - here is what I have used and it works well;

workout 1
flat bench- warm up set, 8 reps - 3 sets of 5, 2 sets of 3

dumbell flat bench 3 sets of 5

pec deck machine supersetted with machine presses 4 sets 10-15 reps to flush the muscles

workout 2

Incline bench presses - warm up, 8 reps - 3 sets of 5, 2 sets of 3

dumbell flies (incline or flat) 4 sets 8-10 reps - or - incline db presses

high neck presses supersetted with dips 4 sets 10-15 reps

alternate these workouts - I was skeptical at first thinking I was going to lose my flat bench hitting it only every other workout but I was wrong - my bench went up and was better than ever. The main thing this workout did for me was to fill out my upper chest and give me a much better complete chest appearance.

Go as heavy as possible with dumbell presses on the incline but not so much weight that you cannot push out a set of 6-8. By the 8th rep you want to be exhausted so use weight that suits you for this purpose. A lot of making a good chest has to do with form, if you are cheating or not going down and getting a good stretch, or if you hands are too close together on the bar then you are working your tris and delts more than your chest. Heavy incline dumbell presses should be the basis of your chest routine.

If you work that hard and don't have a great chest, I gotta agree with Graybass, you get what you get genetically... Some guys end up mostly working shoulders with bench (due to physical structure), some guys have tiny muscles and long tendons...

I got lucky on the chest, like Graybass, and my arms have good shape, but that is only at my peak. I know guys that don't even lift who look better than I do... I hate those guys (grin). Otherwise, the main thing to look at is the tendon length. I can never have huge arms, cause my muscles are too short. At 17 inches, they are about as big as I can get them, period, end of story (I'm getting back there on this cycle). I have a buddy with muscle bellies that go from joint to joint, looks like he has NO tendons, so he can get MUCH larger than I ever could.

Look through all the BB mags and start paying attention to tendon length and muscle belly size. You can tell right away who is naturally built, and the guy who has peaked out and can never get bigger. All the greats have HUGE muscle bellies and no tendons to speak of. Bone size is also important.

BUT, the ones with the best overall look (aside from mass), often have a bit of tendon length, which gives them amazing shape. Frank Zane is an awesome example of that. Ronnie Coleman on the other hand, has no tendons in his body (grin). Dorian Yates, you name the big O winners...

To me the perfect gigantic yet small boned and slightly tendoned physique of all time, is Flex Wheeler at the Arnold classic, I think around 92... He beat out everyone, what a genetic freak. Fantastic symmetry, fantastic everything.

Seriously man, you get what you get. It's great that you are experimenting though, never give up, never surrender...

But we gotta work with what we got, so put up a pic and we could check it out... My hero is Frank Zane cause he's the only guy I could look like. I could never be a Lou or an Arnold.

i know a lot of guys hate flys, but my chest responds nicely with them as an ancillary exercise. Really stresses them in ways a bench alone doesn't. I think a flat and incline bench mostly works my shoulders (they are big), but a decline smashes them... I forgot to look to see if you do declines. If what you lack is that nice boxy look you get from good lower pec development, do heavy declines.

Hey, you might want to check out HST training too, see the training forum. You seem to be doing a lot of work, but not optimal results. Maybe you are a hard gainer like me. If you want to wait 8 weeks, I'll have my results in.

My legs suck, if that helps. I NEVER wear shorts... (grin)

.

try to train HST prog with inclines, this routine blew my chest up. Less volume worked for me, but I train REALLY intense. I like to go until dizzy sometimes, lol.

Anyone know why HST site recomends inclines? They even say 'slight', which I'm not sure what that means... we have unfortunately, only one 'set' incline bench, and it's at a 45 degree or more angle, more than 'slight' in my opinion, so I was going to have to go with flat (starting HST monday... friday I found my 15 rep maxes to begin the program).
