GH Log Long-Term with DEXA and Bloodwork

Results from NMR-lipoprofile w/IR markers are back. Everything looks good IMO, except while HDL-C looks great, HDL-P is low.

Remaining cholesterol and insulin resistance information looks good, although I do not know too much about these tests.

Texted results to my dad who is an ER doc and he said "No red flags. Things look good." But I'd love to hear feedback from others who know more about these tests.

This was still on my TRT dose 125mg test e per week, 100mg deca per week, and 4iu GH (split 2 AM/PM) per day. Fasted about 5.5 hours before test, so not 100% accurate

Hey Marcus. That's quite a profile. Our lab here doesn't look at particle size. Lipid profiles I'm familiar with still look at total, HDL, VLDL, LDL, and LDL/HDL ratios. I'm not current on cardiology's use of these measurements. HDL on the low side as expected with testosterone tx. Triglycerides are good as well suggesting you're avoiding simple sugar. I'm sorry I can't offer more...not a big part of my day to day in the OR

This is not my PCP and I self prescribe... I told this doc about TRT, Deca and GH since I have been using it recently and I'm going under. Didn't want anesthesia complications

My primary knows about my TRT and that's it
There I was thinking how open minded US Docs are!
Wouldn't think it would affect anesthesia - but better safe than sorry...Good luck for the Op

I would have to concur with your pops. I don't see anything really crazy except your LDL-C is high and you need to stay away from fatty meats and dairy.

Your LDL_P is banging so that's good. I would say overall you're a stud.

Hmmm Maybe change it up a bit of it's the meat and dairy and retest in 6 months. Thank you mands!

Didn't want the extra water retention during surgery and recovery. And didnt want to have to deal wth pinning right after so I thought it was a good time to do so

That’s right, you told us that. I guess I just assumed that you were going back on after. I was just curious. Hopefully you’re healing well!

Great log... I hope you are recovering well. Did you switch up your diet to eliminate fat as your main source of protein? Were you initially going for a keto diet? I am going to look into this diet. Who doesn't love animal fat?

Thank you thank you, recovery is going well.

I switched up my diet for a few reasons:
1) I felt like after coming off of nearly a year of not working out into a bulk, my insulin sensitivity was fucked up. Read quite a few books about the easiest and most effective ways to correct. Based on higher fat diets, no hydrogenated vegetable oils, no added sugar, and intermittent fasting.

2) I wasn’t going for Keto, I guess if you wanna classify it, it’s like modifies Paleo? I dunno, just tried to switch up to everything whole food, little starches and lower glycemic carbs due to insulin resistance and higher BF

3) As insulin sensitivity increased and BF got lower, I was able to incorporate more types of carbs but kept things with added refined sugars and hydrogenated oils still out, except for a random random cheat meal here and there

4) Most recent studies and reading that I had done had pointed towards the key to healthier heart in saturated fats in meat and dairy, along with the usual monounsaturated fats, and unprocessed polyunsaturated fats
