Giant Semaglutide Thread (and other GLP-1 / GIP agonists)

Anyone have Hidradenitis Suppurativa and seen an improvement?

I have this illness, and I've been taking tirzepatide for about 6 months now, and the flares have disappeared. Now I only have scars remaining.

It could be a coincidence, but I've been diagnosed with this for about 5 years now, and all that time I had some flares and an open wound, even if it was minimal at the low point of the flare. The only thing that I do or take differently is tirzepatide.

Now it's like I don't have anything; it's normal. My armpits are the most affected. I had other areas affected, but it wasn't much compared to my armpits.

Titrated down to 2mg tirz, reducing by about 1mg weekly.
this week is my first week without tirz
i did this because i believed it was affecting my sleep / mood
yes i was also on tren for most of tirz but according to my watch i had a "stress" increase like 2 days after injection that continued for two more days then slowly went down over the course of the week , then rose again following my next tirz injection, even once the tren cleared.

im taking anadrol now and my stress levels are lower than when i was just on tirz, i attribute most of this to improved sleep. perhaps this is why people experience fatigue on tirz, from lower quality sleep. something something vagus nerve. I had the best sleep score ive ever had the day I was scheduled to take my tirz dosage (but didn't)

The anadrol really curbs my appetite at 50mg a day split a.m p.m. . Been using it approx 10 days.
Im at 2500kcal now and i think its easier to be this low calorie, on this dosage of anadrol, vs 2-4mg tirz.

there may be other factors involved but i am 4 days into my first week tirz free and i will see how my stress and sleep score improve (and from that, RHR)

ok back on tirz but im tired AF today,
I was tired af during the months on tirz in a surplus
. Im not even on anything other than TRT now.
so maybe it was the tirz as i intially thought, my sleep score/stages were good even though I got 6 hours, and im still tired.

I think i'll switch to reta , has anyone seen anecdotes on switching to reta and having more energy?

I thought that it was just a calorie deficiet making all the fats say they were tired but i dont think its a coincidence im drained AF today and feel like I have brainfog the next day after a dose.

stopped the anadrol and appetite returned so here i am on the glp train again

hows the reta switch been @The Answ3r

Ill say that thru experience with both there’s a big energy difference in Reta compared to Tirz.

Yep, that's all you'll hear people talk about when they switch from tirzepatide to retatrutide : mote energy. One thing people like to complain about on reta : it has less appetite suppression than tirz. If appetite suppression is important to you, you might want to stick with tirzepatide

Ive heard that too, but my first try with a GLP was like 1mg of reta and that had me looking at food funny even though I was deep in a Intermittent fasting keto death cut.

also, reflecting back on these few months i think ive had a mix of the following two. I definitely feel different, not sure if its ALL bad, but definitely lacking some dopamine, but probably processing my emotions and life better. not sure. im just a little too flat though

1.

GLP-1RAs activate receptors in brain regions like the hypothalamus, nucleus tractus solitarius (NTS), and mesolimbic system, which regulate appetite but also influence dopamine signaling. This can dampen reward responses (e.g., reducing "food noise"), but it might extend to broader anhedonia or reduced motivation, manifesting as brain fog. For instance, by altering dopamine release, it could temporarily impair focus or cognitive processing, similar to how some antidepressants affect mental clarity during adjustment. Preliminary evidence suggests this neurotransmitter shift could influence cognitive function, though it's more often protective long-term.

2.

GLP-1 promotes neurogenesis and synaptic plasticity in areas like the hippocampus (key for memory and cognition), which is beneficial long-term. However, during the adjustment phase, this remodeling might disrupt established neural circuits, leading to short-term cognitive glitches perceived as fog. Animal studies show enhanced plasticity, but human reports vary
