Gym Shamming

We all have our own idea of what is dumb at the gym. I’d like to know what makes you shake your head. Let’s try to stay away from the typical, curling in the squat rack.

Mine:

1. Empty gym bags on the floor. Most gyms have lockers and if you can’t buy a lock some will have areas to keep valuables in plain sight. Nothing that I laugh at more than a few meat heads walking around like their going to the airport after their session. I’m not talking about guys that have actual stuff in their bag like belts or wraps etc.

2. No leg leg day. Hear me out. I’ve got at least two guys at my guy who walk around like they just finish a set of 315 on squat yet have the legs of a marathon runner. Did you ride in on a horse? Maybe that explains that bow legged walk.

3. 1/4 leg press 1000lbs. Are you trying to blow out a knee? Can’t go all of the way down then why not take off half the weight? You know it’s cheating when you push down using your arms? I’m not sure you’re fooling most, thinking that you could full rep 22 plates.

My pet peeves:

1) People who hog the dumbbells by taking them and placing in front of them on the bench and supersetting.
2) Too many talkers not much doing.
3) The dweebs walking around in tight tights looking like they are hot shit. Fuck that.
 
I think we all have our pet peeves at the gym, and I would almost wager they are the same for most of us.

Every gym has some crazy shit happen at one point or another. First gym I went to where I was starting to lose the fat, there was this guy that came in would walk around the whole gym holding his hands up and shaking them for a couple laps. Then be would lay on a bench and do half reps of air presses at lightening speed, was rinse and repeat.

Yes to #1. Dude has like 3 x sets of dumbbells. Unless I’m doing a second set that shit goes right back.

Yes that's the biggest pet peeve I have when I wanted the 40s and one dude had them along with the 50s and 60s. I'd politely ask too.
 
1) Standing in front of the DB rack while doing rows or lat raises

2) Sitting at a machine while on your phone

3) using a single pulley in the double pulley rack.

4) Dudes with their balls out in the LR.

5) Fat physical trainers, yea, I said it.
 
I don’t like to ask because sometimes I think dude’s trying to build a fort or something. Last thing I wanna do is piss off crazy
I ask, even had a guy leaning on a 80lb easy bar. I am like can I use that for a set since your not. Most usually say no problem.
