Have I possibly torn my triceps?

So i did pushtraining today and last exercise were one handed cable pushdowns for triceps..per side i did around 19 reps, I didnt really need help on the last rep so you could say fairly light weight.
When i did the set on my left arm, around the 15 rep mark i felt a weird woble in my arm and immediately dropped the weight (not because of pain, but because i felt the wobbly thing, kind of like when you feel a tendon grind over your bone, guess you know the feel, except i felt it around my triceps near shoulder area.)
Because i have this stupid ego, i lowered rhe weight, did another set, then added weight to where it was before and did another 15 reps without pain or any of that stuff.
I felt a slight burn after my workout in my left triceps; yet not where i felt the wobbly tging but more in the middle so its hard to say if its not just some soreness.
I got home and tested my tris out again by doing close grip pushups and i focused on using the "injured" triceps and didnt really have a problem doing those...now i have this sore feeling and am worried if i do might have torn it..anyone experienced can give advice?
Btw i will visit the doctor tomorrow anyways, it just takes time until i could get an mri and im really impatient when it comes to stuff like this..

Hope its nothing serious. Dr visit be good move. Take care of your young machine.

You think the ultrasonic thing would be enough to determine a tear? Could fet those way faster than mri, mri might take up to 3-4 weeks until i get them done..

Was it a wobble or a pop? Either way, you will have bruising if it is injured. Slight bruising would probably indicate a grade 1 or 2 strain, severe bruising would come more likely with a more severe tear. I would imagine you’d be in quite a bit of pain if torn and a push up would be out of the question, but that’s a guess as I’ve never injured my tricep.

Ice and elevate until you see your doc tomorrow. Although elevating a tricep for an extended time is very uncomfortable, so just ice that bad boy. Hope it’s not as bad as you fear.

Agreed. No bruising = no bleeding = no muscle tear .

Well lets call it a kind of pop. The kind of pop you "feel" when your tendon rubs against the bone for example..so no painful thing just a poppy feel yes.
But as of now no pain actually, more of a post pump feeling in the triceps, i do have a black spot (idk how theyre called in english) in the middle of my tricep, not where the pop was felt though, but also dont know if its been there before.
Painwise, no pain when i get out of bed or bend my arms or whatever either

If it's not at a joint insertion the worst it'll be is a muscle belly tear. They will bruise up and hurt. You'll have to slowly work it back into action over a few weeks to a month depending on how severe it is.

I've done both (tendon tear at the elbow insertion and muscle belly tear in the right tricep). I got both xrayed and MRI'ed and neither required surgery luckily. Both took months before the tricep was 100% again.

Take it slow and easy. Set that ego aside now that you know you're injured and take care of it properly.

I will, thank you..fucking sucks, doctor will hopefully tell me whats the final verdict on this or if im being over attentive

I just recently tore 3 of the 4 rotator cuff muscles in my left shoulder. 1 was full thickness. The day after, my shoulder, half my triceps and biceps, upper pec and upper lat were purple.

Im wondering, the muscle belly tear one, were you able to use the triceps after injuring or not? Im getting mri done in around 2 weeks now and wondering, its sore but it works normally. So no tendon tear, muscle belly tear, i dont know and i always wonder what it feels like the first days after it happening.

It's sore and feels injured. Depends on the extent of the tear also. Mine was pretty big and bled so I had a pretty big bruise in the middle of the large head of the tricep.

I did mine doing heavy french presses (seated over head two handed tricep dumbbell extensions) and at the bottom of the stretch it popped. That exercise has injured me twice so I don't do it anymore.

You can still use it some and I'd recommend keeping blood flow going to it. I stayed out of the gym for the first week to allow it to start the healing process. After that I limited my training on any presses and direct tricep work to very light to keep blood in the muscles and to expedite healing.

Everything else I trained normal. Although, even on some over head back movements I could feel it due to the downward motion activating the tricep so you just have to be careful. It took mine almost 8 months before I couldn't feel it at all under any circumstances. After 4 months it felt "normal" until I used heavier weights then I could feel the torn area hurt some.

Just remember, you're injured and you should approach this as such. It sucks and it's going to set you back some but if you're smart about it you'll have a short delay and return 100%. You don't give it the proper attention and it could take a lot longer to heal and could bother you a really long time.

Alright..very curious what mri results are going to say.
Feels sore right now, lot more than my other triceps, and when not moving it, kind of a numb feel I would say.

Not sure about the ultrasonic thing. Like @fodsod says take your time and heal up right. Dont want a lingering injury that shows up every month or so. Keep us posted.

Yes, will back down my whole training now, i shouldve rested a week or so long time ago but ego was telling me no, more like the fear of getting smaller when pausing training during a cut.
Ive been having muscle aches every week on different body parts and kept training around it, just never in my triceps really..
Todax will make my last normal training of back with using bands, then im gonna take a few days off and start up slowwww.

Unless it's in a joint insertion I'm surprised they'd bother with an MRI. They are expensive and really aren't needed for a muscle tear unless it's a major tear requiring surgical intervention. Your's does not sound that bad.

I've only had two MRIs related to lifting injuries. When I detached my left bicep tendon and tore my rotator at the same time. Both had to be re-attached and when I partially tore the tricep tendon at the elbow insertion on my right arm. The MRI was to see if it needed surgery to repair it. It did not thankfully.

My muscle belly tear was just examined and x-rayed by my ortho. No MRI was warranted.
