Having a low LDL and a low HDL on bloodwork?

I posted my bloodwork on here a few days ago; I am now on a cruise of testosterone. However, looking over some cardiovascular things I am becoming a little confused and alarmed:
Cholesterol: 99
HDL: 21 (range should be higher than 39) probably from where my body has not yet recovered from a blast*
LDL:65 (0-99)
Triglycerides: 55 (range 0-149)

HDL/LDL ratio: 3.1 (range 0-3.6)

Does anything about this result point to an underlying issue? I have an appointment with a cardiologist on January 17th just an FYI

You don't have low ldl. That was in the upper third of the range. You have low hdl. That's no bueno.

Is being on a cruise going to have any positive impact on this? I’ve already dropped to 160 mg per week as opposed to 200
Test isn't good for cholesterol. You'll need to moderate that with diet + exercise, and medication if necessary.

In the mean time try a supplement called Strom supportmax, raised my HDL and lowered my LDL while I was waiting to be referred a couple of years back.

I wouldn’t worry, your total, tri and ldl look really good. All of them are really low for using test. Your 1 hdl result is low but in 6 months I’m guessing it’ll look different. Looks good overall, just retest in 6 months with the same TRT amount.

Sounds good. I was a little surprised as well being that this is from not dropping the test below 500 mg for over a year and 4 months! Currently going to run TRT for the next few months; while adding is Ecdysterone just to give it a shot. There’s some scientific studies to support it. I feel running TRT should help bring things back up before I want to blast again.

What was you testosterone level on the “trt” dose you’re taking? I thought I remembered you were taking kind of a high dose. Maybe just take enough to be at the top of the range.

i was at 200 mg per week. I use from a compounding pharmacy right now. I took it down to 175-180 because i was still a little high; about 1346 ng/dL around there. being at 1050 would be nice. Very high of the natty range; and not technically supephysiological

Where did you buy supportmax? Seems only available in UK?
Hi buddy

Yeah it is UK based but if you look at the ingredient profile everything’s clinically dosed and if bought individually you would be paying a lot more.

Lots of Bodybuilders over here use it and have had really good improvements in bloods on and off cycle, I use it as I’m in TRT for life and all my levels are in range and when I do occasionally have a cycle where I throw some bar and primo in the supplement really helps me while on.

Ok I’ll order some, then. $30 to ship but if they improve my lipids it’ll be a small price to pay. Gonna try the neuro pm product as well. Maybe that’ll help me sleep better! Thanks for the reply and happy new year to you!

Message Strom sports on Instagram as they mentioned something in their stories today about doing special rates for us shipments that are different from the web prices.

Your LDL is fine and your HDL is bad, but that's what AAS do to it. There are drugs and supplements that increase HDL, but none actually appears to do something with regard to cardiovascular disease risk so they're rather useless. I've written about anabolic steroid use and HDL cholesterol in the following article: Anabolic Steroids, HDL Cholesterol and Cholesterol Efflux Capacity - MESO-Rx

What for do you have the appointment with the cardiologist?

I’m currently taking a about 6-9 grams of omegas on a daily basis, along with krill oil amongst other good supplements and an extremely strict diet at the moment. My appointment with the cardiologist is just to get a scan done just to see if there are any worries/buildup etc. I don’t have a family history of heart issues; besides my grandfather who had a pacemaker. However, He was also an alcoholic. I’m trying to stay on top of the game health wise, especially now
