I am steveboomer. No I am not a boomer, I just thought the name sounded cool. It is also an homage to Steve Bannon, who is one of my favorite boomers of all time, bc he went to prison for his beliefs which I think is cool.
I played tons of sports as a kid and developed stress fractures in my lower spine at age 14 from overtraining and wore a hard plastic brace that was custom molded to my torso for years while playing sports...try playing full-court basketball while wearing a plastic corset! It was the rehab from the back injury to try and strengthen my core that got me into bodybuilding.
Recently I've been training using the Wendler 5/3/1 method (slightly modified) to get stronger. I really have been liking centering my training around the major lifts, and upping the numbers. I have long legs and was a basketball player so I'm not your traditional power lifter, but I would like to get my bench to 405, my squat to 500, and my deadlift to 650.
RN my max on bench is 315, my squat is 365. and my deadlift is 425.
This is my first time training specifically for power so I would appreciate any advice or training routines you guys use for strength. I am really enjoying it though.
I cycled in my late teens early twenties bc at the time I was experimenting with all kinds of drugs. I was in shape from sports and was just enhancing the physique I had already built and partying etc.
Recently hopped back on in a much more measured way. Currently am taking 350 Test E and 100 primo with 10mg Anavar pre-workout. If I have a heavy workout sometimes I'll take a little blast of 50mg prop., 30mg tren A, and 30mg masteron. I know those are baby doses but I'm trying to get the most out of every milligram of gear before bumping things up.
