I see your point. Ideally all this would've been asked and answered before anything was ever ordered as part of the vetting process. But we all know that's never the case, people always willing to take chances on new sources.
But i dont see it as anything more than giving credence to his legitimacy. Think about it, we ask ugl to show us their filters, their autoclave. Guys that know how to brew, can surmise from the responses their knowledge on brewing, sterility...
I dont see it as any more different than that.
