This is exactly what I have been saying. We are at the end of an ERA. We are really in the Second phase of internet evolution. One being the first days (compuserve, etc), Second up til now, Third - Welcome. The first and second phases could be equated to the telephone. Phase one you had to ring the operator to get a connection, but primitive and no one gave a shit. Phase two, was the days when you could call someone up at random (prank call) with no consequence. I can recall that even adults in marital affairs would call each other harrasing with hangups, etc, and you had to get an act of congress to trace the call. Now Phase three, we have moved to the "caller ID" stage with Internet. Except, way more data available when you place that call. In fact the list stays on the "phone" forever, and only continues to grow in size and detail. DOES ANYONE REALLY THINK IT IS GOING ELSEWHERE? Its basic evolution, only expedited by technology. You are already far from anonymous on the internet. Far indeed. It just seems to me (I have not read), that this would simply level the playing ground. The badguys always get the deal first. ANyone that wants it can already get anything on you. It would appear the only and obvious solution. Its ALREADY HERE. This is just the wakeup call. So for those of you who think you are safe here in some secret society........
FYI, that goes for you guys just watching. So you might as well log in. JUST BE SURE TO ASK QUESTIONS, and DONT CONVICT YOURSELF. The point of the site is to educate. A question is not a conviction.
