LISS Is zone1?
I guess so. Zone 1 is at 50-60% of max heart rate, that puts me at 89-106 beats and that's where i'm at while doing fast walking on treadmill or moderate walking with a bit of incline.

LISS Is zone1?
Zone 2 cardio, approx 60-70% of MAX heart rate. It's the optimal balance between benefits and effort, I like to keep my heart rate around 130-135 for cardio, but with Nebivolol the best I can hope for is 130 now, lol. What is Z2?
Yeah on an incline walking I can do around 125/130 max that's fine for me thoZone 2 cardio, approx 60-70% of MAX heart rate. It's the optimal balance between benefits and effort, I like to keep my heart rate around 130-135 for cardio, but with Nebivolol the best I can hope for is 130 now, lol.

I know I'm often a bit over, but the that's still light enough and effective for cardio benefits.135 is more likely to be Z3 unless you're 15 years old haha. For a 35yo male a Z2 is from 107 to 125

In reality (following Peter Attia), Z2 benefits (as for as mitochondrial benefits go) are not likely to occur if you do Z2 after weights as your lactate had already gone beyond Z2 from lifting and the signaling happened, so even if lactate goes down you need to wait a few hours between sessions.
That aside, you will get ALL the heart and blood sugar control benefits regardless. For me, doing this type of cardio is light years better than Berberine at controlling blood sugar.
That's an excellent response to Berberine. It's really fascinating how we all react differently, isn't it? Berberine worked for me, but cardio (30 minutes Z2, 6 days a week) was SO MUCH better.Well, i managed to get my HbA1c from 5,5 to 5 with just 500mg berberine so for me it goes the other way. I'm not so much into cardio, i mostly track steps and then i either do a light jogging at 125bpm for 15-20 minutes couple times a week or i'll do HIIT 10 minutes, 1 fast walking 1 running. That gets me around 145-150bpm average.

4.9 on HGH and 700g carbs is absolutely amazing. I don't really like cardio myself, but I have a naturally high RHR that's made worse by AAS and HGH so I have to be on top of it (while also using Neb at 2.5mg) otherwise I'd be walking around with a heart rate of 100+, lol.Don't get me wrong, your approach of course it's healthier. It's not only HbA1c that matters. For cardiovascular reason cardio it's obviously way better. I'd never rely on any pill and think "well, my cardiovascular is ok now". I'm just adding i've seen a big improvement with berberine. I'm taking 1000mg currently for the last 3 months and despite i've added HGH and i'm eating ~700gr carbs on my training days my HbA1c came out 4,9 just days ago.. So i'm pretty happy with it.
Yeah except for the fact that it makes cardio feel like shit...makes 130bpm feel like 150-160.... So i choose to have rhr at 80 with less nebivolol than at 70 with more
6IU seems to pump my RHR by about 15 points, but I don't think it affects cardio. 2.5mg of Nebivolol lowered it back to 68-72 though, I just hate that it also makes it difficult to do Z2 cardio with ease.
When I was taking it I didn't see any effect of that matter. I mean I tried to run on it and I was feeling fine, just couldn't get much HR to shoot up a lot like before. Coming from a guy that is not really a cardio lover, I remember being able to reach 150+ easily if I tried to run. Well on 5mg nebivolol I really had to try hard.I know this is not the topic of the thread, but I am curious.
So that is two comments on nebivolol and heart rate while doing cardio. Both indicate some effect with trouble getting the heart rate up, and at least one says it makes cardio feel worse, like perceived effort maybe?
Is this common with nebivolol?
I take metoprolol. I was considering switching to nebivolol for some of the benefits (blood flow in capillaries, etc)
The vasodilator action of nebivolol in forearm vasculature of subjects with essential hypertension - PMC
Brachial artery administration of nebivolol increases forearm blood flow in normotensive subjects through activation of the l-arginine/NO pathway. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of brachial artery administration of ...pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
But this reduced cardio effect would concern me. I do not think I have this issue with metoprolol, although to be honest it is probably mostly or all out of my system when I do cardio in the early a.m. and take my dose after.
So if you take nebivolol, please chime in.
It is impossible to do HIIT on Nebivolol; my heart rate would barely reach the 155 mark. Z2 is possible, but expect a lower heart rate at the same intensity. For me, that's around 10 points at the same intensity, but since I'm only doing Z2 I dont really see the problem since I can hit 125 easy on the Elliptical; HIIT can be done during my cruises where I don't need to take it. Other than that I feel that my lifting performance is the same, but I have harder pumps (I feel).I know this is not the topic of the thread, but I am curious.

Half life is 10 hours to 32 hours, depending upon how fast you metabolize itI take nebivolol with lunch, after training and cardio. If it hinders performance, it's out of my system by then.
I don't track HR so can't comment further.
