HGH and Metformin dosage?

I was listening to a podcast recently that talked about taking HGH, Metformin, and T4 together is really good. I've been on HGH for a little while now but not the other 2. Anyone got any experience with all 3 simultaneously?

A lot people have run all three (or similar, myself included).

Gonna need to do a little testing. Get a thyroid panel (preferably from an endo) to see if you'd benefit from T4. If blood glucose starts creeping up, consider an antihyperglycemic like a gliflozin or berberine (or metf if you can't get any others).

Alex , Where do you like to keep your fbg ? Mine has creeped up to 90-95 in the a.m., i'm taking 1500 mg of berberine a day, i just started taking 500 mg of Metformin at night trying to get my fbg down some,, Currently taking 5 ius hgh split 2 iu a.m. 3ius p.m.,,

90 still fine BG doesn't mean much you need HbA1c tryglicerides (for the formula with BG) fasted insulin. With all those values you can understand if you are being insulin resistant or still fine.

BG alone useless, you could be insulin resistant and have a normal BG :)

For some reason my FBG is usually pretty low. Mid-70s. Same as before I started hGH.

200 mg dihydroberberine and 12.5 mg empagliflozin.

I also try to not eat after dinner. No bedtime snacks etc. Not sure if that helps, but it means I'm fasted for 10-12 hours before measuring AM glucose.

Not useless. FBG a convenient and minimally invasive way to get a snapshot. It will not catch insulin resistance early on but if FBG is high, you know you need to act.

If don't want to rely on crude surrogate markers (eg, FBG, HbA1c, triglycerides, insulin), you can measure insulin sensitivity directly with a hyperinsulinemic-euglycemic clamp. Next best would be an oral glucose tolerance test with insulin sampling.

Bump.

How's the jardiance treating you? I think if one can manage without it and with some dhydroberberine and Metformin it would be better isn't it?

But if one can't it's a fantastic addition.
The only thing that stop me from using it straight away is some mechanism that works against building muscle if I'm not mistaken. I was reading it on PM

Why would using metformin instead of Jardiance be better?

Metformin is the one that is not great for muscle building. It's more accessible and less expensive, so easy to see why people like it.

I'll find the references about jardiance doing something at skeletal muscle level that would be a bit detrimental to Building muscle. I don't remember exactly what so before saying some bullshit I need to check it out.

Not sure if it was something about reducing insulin effect or was glucose? Let me get home and I'll find it

I think this might be what you are referring to. The risk seems to be more probably in the elderly, and with those taking Metformin + Jardiance.

This is the thread I was referring too.

So the idea is in a growth phase especially with insulin use one is trying to load up on glycogen storage but jardiance is a glucose disposal so it's like working against it.

Yeah Metformin is not that great either for other reasons

On GH + Insulin one shouldn't have any BG issue tho while supplementing the insulin so in a bulk phase maybe jardiance is not that great, on a maintenance cut phase tho it's definitely great.

On the other hand these are just ideas from other BBs trying to brainstorm it's use.

It has a lot of benefit on kidney and heart tho so I see it a little bit like Metformin does it's use overcome the slightly hindering of mass building potential?

One of the side that scares me the most is the balanitis from candida that it can gives you. That's a fucking bitch

The first link seems like ChatGPT and said 0.07% of people on Jardiance report muscle atrophy. It doesn't indicate how this was assessed (clinically or really self-reported). The second is a case report.

These two refs don't make a good case for empagliflozin impairing muscle building. Maybe Sampei has a clinical trial or something.

Metformin blunts muscle hypertrophy in response to resistance training (ref1); again in this study (Table 1, ref2); possible mechanism by increasing myostatin (ref3).

These seem a little more relevant imo.

I don't think metformin will kill your gainz especially on gear. Just not my first choice bc I like to stack the deck in my favor.

All the metformin fanbois are gonna come at me now haha

See the Walton study I posted (figure 2) and let me know if you consider that "slightly hindering of mass building potential" because it looked more like completely blunted.

I understand if you consider that an OK trade-off for the kidney and heart benefits you mentioned. And it won't be that bad for muscle because you're on gear.

I was talking of jardiance not Metformin.

The wasting disposal mechanism of glucose hinder glycogen accumulation in the muscle.

Jardiance is still damn expensive here too :( I need to see if I can find an excuses for my doctor to prescribe it to me.
Without prescription is 65 euro for 1 box of 30 pills.

With prescription is free xD

Take into consideration that HGH is NOT some "spectacular change" that you are going to see in a fast amount of time, Especially at the doses you recommended trying out, Plus you have to be committed to a clean diet, Proper hydration (1 gallon + daily) including electrolytes balanced, cardio is also an important factor while using hgh IME/IMO, , The HGH train is a slow ride, but can be rewarding for the end user if Applied correctly, , ,
What dose are you insinuating is needed for major changes?
