No hGH testing in NFL this year?

“The truth is that we have not agreed to any of the terms and everything the league has said is what it hopes for,” George Atallah, the union’s spokesman, said in a telephone interview late Thursday. “All of those things they are talking about are still open to discussion.”

The collective bargaining agreement said the parties “confirm that the program on anabolic steroids and related substances will include both annual blood testing and random blood testing for human growth hormone.”
But Atallah said the H.G.H. testing was agreed to in principle only, pointing out that the agreement said H.G.H. testing was “pending agreement by both parties,” and that the 2010 drug-testing policy — which does not include blood testing — would remain in place if both parties could not reach an accord.
