OK ladies.. couple basic things we need to figure out...
Crystal 5'4 and 129lbs... that's naturally without any gear... yes I think you are about right to say you are probably in the 20%bf which means you have some abs definition showing through... although to be more precise, do you know if you are small, medium or larger boned? (you can figure that out easily with your fingers around your wrist... the basic trick - if you easily touch your thumb with your index or ring finger is pretty much small bone, the middle finger falls usually in the medium and can't touch at all is large... you can do precise measurements but I use this as a quick guide. Also, what are your measurements, where do you carry your weight? (measure shoulders, chest, waist, hips, thigh, arm)
I'll explain more once those details are up as that will determine the 'best' course for your cardio and diet (you're more then welcome to message me if you prefer to keep it private)
Now, var... well, females are able to use up to 20mg/day and yes splitting it into two doses about 6 hours apart is ideal due to it's short half life and you want to make sure you keep your levels stable. Based on your stats Crystal, 5mg is low, I would start at 10mg for the first 2 weeks. Var is very mild and you should be fine. My very first time with var was 10mg and it was great. My second run was 20mg and now I always run and stack it with other compounds at 20mg/day. I LOVE Var, it gives me some strength, beautiful hardness and that polished defined look with some vascularity. (so no jiggles anywhere)
Couple things may or may not happen, worse sides I've heard some of the girls I work with say that they had cramps in their stomach, sometimes sharp.... well, that simply means that you aren't drinking enough water (make sure you drink at LEAST a gallon a day) and your protein intake is too low, bump it up by 0.5g (so if you are calculating 1g per lb of your weight, bump it up to 1.5g, etc). Another is that your sex drive will increase and you may be more sensitive... this is a good thing really. The other thing is that you will find you need to shave your legs more often as your hair will grow faster.
Being in your 30's (I'm in my late 30's) you must watch your carbs, they are a lot trickier compared to when we were in our 20's.
Hope this helps a little
