Having spent my formative bodybuilding years in the Dallas area when Ronnie ruled the land, I was and have always been a heavy weight, low rep, high intensity guy. I was able to work out alongside Ronnie and many of his followers for a time too. My ideas on training, diet, and drug use were greatly affected by these guys and I grew like a weed. After I moved away from the Metroplex and and got married, life seemed to get in the way of the gym. I recently started training again and even finished up my first cycle in about seven years. I trained in my tried and true, heavy ass fashion while on. Post cycle, I was doing some research about Arnold one night. I decided to give his high volume training a shot and Have been following his split as well. Too many, myself included, this seems like overtraining. This really appears to be overtraining while "clean". Well, a funny thing has happened. I'm actually continuing to grow post cycle! My muscles seem to be rounding out and appear fuller. Now there are some variables that may have come into effect here too. For one, i have increased calories as I was on a cutting cycle before. Secondly, I have upped my hgh use to 6iu daily. These are blue tops from Naps so 6iu is still a low dose in my opinion. The results that I am seeing are most likely a combination of all these things and I am leaning towards the extra 500 calories making the biggest difference. Still, this is a trick I will employ again after my upcomming cycle. Hell, I might train high volume on this upcomming cycle and see what kind of results that brings.
