I paid 250 for mine from nike. I find they have the best lifting shoes if you're into the oly lifting

Those are the top of the line ones. You could still get some very good ones for much less if you're so inclined. Or just buy them for yourself and when your wife confronts you about the purchase have a spa day gift certificate ready to hand to her lolol
And you should also remind her that those shoes last for years. Ive had mine for about 12 years now and have put them through a lot of abuse. Justifies spending a little extra to have good quality shoes

I fixed my form and learnt how to brace really hard from hips to lats. Hit a PR, 350 for one. Tied up like a mummy, but it came with little stutter. Felt awesome #squatlove4ever

My lifting buddy, he's a little taller than you 5'9", and he ways about 10lbs less than me, and hes one stalky looking motherfucker. I've always been kinda tall and lengthy, but everytime I see that I think that arnold was 6'2"

Haven't put more than 325 on my back yet, and I hit that for a couple. What I'm more proud of is my 315 front squat both of which were at around 185lb body weight; I lift beltless, high bar, fairly wide stance

Squats for me is more of a mental fuck than anything. When I was 21 years old I would put 405 on the bar, get 6 reps then drop to 315x10 or so.
Now nearly 4 years later I'm just putting 405 on my back for a single. Ass to the grass though..always.
