I believe an introduction is in order....

Good day Gents. Wanted to stop in and introduce myself. I've been reading the board for quite sometime. Today I figured, why not grab a username? So here I am. I'm a member of another board which I do not frequent at all (ERoids under username TheDoc). What really stood out for me is the lack of censorship here, which is a huge plus. I've been training for over 20 years. Competed and won more than a few shows, competed on a national level, at a VERY young age. Decided being a pro wasn't what I wanted in life, wasn't into the idea of a panel of judges deciding my financial destiny. I've been studying anabolics firsthand since the age of 16. Looking forward to contributing to the board. All the best guys!

Welcome aboard, there is a wealth of knowledge within these forums and alot of great peeps. Scientific fact: eroids.com causes cancer.

Thanks for the introduction and welcome to MESO-Rx! I look forward to hearing about your experiences in the world of competitive bodybuilding and resulting disillusionment.

Love the sport. Always have, always will. But to think that you'll be living the high life as a pro is just not realistic. I know more IFBB pros than I care to. Some got their Pro Cards after sacrificing their body, mind and health, for what? A card? Pro means nothing if you can't place top 5 and or win.

The financial structure of pro bodybuilding is pathetic. I have a few friends who have placed in the top 6 of the Olympia, one currently competing is in the top 3. Yes, endorsements, prize money, etc., that's all good. But the bright lights are only for a select few.

I understand why people do it, I was one of them. But when your vitals are crashing the night before going on stage due to diuretic use along with substantial amounts of pain meds in your body, it makes you think twice (or it should).

I'm in no way knocking the brothers who have blinders on with Championship dreams in mind. I wish them nothing but the best. But for me, it wasn't a difficult decision.
