The only recommendation I would make, and this is personal preference, but I enjoy a true American Pit Bull Terrier by ADBA standards. This is more of the historically correct confirmation of the breed when they were bred as performance athletes. A taller leaner, frame with high energy and drive. Now that being said if you don't work a true APBT they will chew, dig, climb and just generally destroy your shit if not properly exercised. An AmStaff by UKC standards will usually hold a little more weight, a heavier build and bone structure coming from their background in the show ring. Usually still pretty good athletes nonetheless but then you have these damn "American Bullies". These things are just bred for size, and usually poorly imo and sometimes mixed bred. Those are usually the ones you see with the spiked collars as some wanna-be "thug"s leash ornament. Not worth a fuck for working, most of em are so overdone a jog around the block might kill their ass :( Better for a "pet" maybe, low energy lazy couch potatoes most of the time. But if you got land and/or an active lifestyle their is no substitute for the one true APBT imo...with proper training and handling, and RESPONSIBLE ownership I have very few issues caring for multiple unaltered dogs.

...but then again I don't let my dogs roam free, don't do dog parks, feed them separately, and but a huge emphasis on early socialization. Don't get me started I can talk dogs for days :D

Yep I know how the breed has been bred badly these days , gangs are ruining the breed with their "posse dogs" and cane dogs . I like a well behaved dog , a family dog thats also a guard dog . I wont tolerate a vicious dog....

So I had a little extra gas...figured I throw in a 2nd workout yesterday.

Sled push
reverse sled pull
farmer's walk
2 min bag work
alternating one-arm medicine ball pushups (idk if there is a name for this shit)

Got pretty winded running a circuit, 20 mins after workout I was still pretty flushed in the face..decided to pop in a little chain store and get my blood pressure checked. I know they aren't that accurate, but still much higher than I'm used to seeing:

135/87 Pulse 122 !!!

I know DBOL has adverse effects on BP, with my moderately high dose of EQ I'm wondering if I should back off back to 25mg pre w/o instead of 50. Keep in mind I took the 50mg dose at 5am before my am w/o and BP was taken 9pm after 7-9pm w/o

What's your normal resting HR when off gear? I find that my HR will increase 25-30% while on gear and as high as 40% even an hour or so after a WO. Suggest you monitor your BP/HR 3-4xday for a couple and if it is still that high adjust dosage. Don't need you stroking out or blowing a pipe. You provide interesting and entertaining posts.;)

Joints feel good (maybe there is something to this NPP :D ), hand is fully healed, strength and stamina is up and I think I'm ready to start rockin' and rollin'.
Haven't got with the coach yet...but I'm gonna start reducing my volume on the big 3 and focus on lifting heavy for a few weeks. See what kind of progress I can make without smashing my recovery time.

Calve liver, onions, and mash last night.
smoked salmon, scrambled egg whites, home fries this am.

Supposed to head in tonight and do some tracking, opting out of cardio/conditioning to split a couple cords of wood tomorrow.

stayed up too late, overslept woke up to snow,

You have the physique of a fighter. I think you mentioned that before. Probably a striker. Maybe try hypertrophic style work outs instead of extremely low rep counts.

When I was in high school I was strongest. I trained very similar to you cuz I was a 3 sport athlete. I found that even tho my 1 rep max was more impressive back then im far more "impressive" now. I get it tho. You want functional strength due to ur job n all but we gotta get those arms up to par bro man. Im guessing 16"?

IDK man but they lag for sure, they are long and throw out like a whip, I can reach out and touch somebody. I'm watching JB's log, hoped you could throw me some pointers as well, just hate taking the time to sit there and isolate....maybe like one arm curls while I'm jawin these girls. When I hit the gym I wanna reach for the puke bucket, bi's and tri's never did it for me. A little mass on my shoulders too and I'd prob look 2x as big...

Im with ya. I hate Isolation training too, well i should say i did. After i gained an inch in my 8 week cycle i reexamined things. I still use rows (compound exercises) as my primary bicep/forearm builder even tho its a back exercise its damn good for arms too. I started using plain old straight bar curls and machine preachers for a few sets. That helped tremendously. I squueze at top contraction for a second or two. Then when i fail on the positives i static hold till i cant any more. I crave this type of stimulation. It helps hone my warrior spirit and purge my negative tank. Every battery has a positive and negative. Im wired this way
