Bunch of good suggestions. Pick something and focus on performance. For example greyskull preaches 100 burpees in 5 min as the goal. He tells you how to get there in the villain challenge #1 article. Another example is jump rope, goal should be to be able to move like a boxer. Well you get there by practicing jump rope and adding time and the difficulty to it weekly until you reach that goal. Goals for heavy bag etc or wendler prowler challenge. If you are working toward a goal at least you have something to strive for instead of just doing it for the sake of burning calories.
Below are links to the greyskull conditioning books. Great books, just follow his advice on time limits. The best is the very first one, 13 down....it's a mother fucker.
