I would like to know what those of you who support trump will do when he loses the election?

It was a terrorist attack, albeit a teeny one. I don't agree with mb though. His post was hypocritical. He never had anything to say when BLM was taking over city blocks and police stations. I thought he was CNN there for a minute. Each side has done wrong but it seems one side is getting special treatment. I'm over this shit. My question is this: When our 2A rights get violated, is it gonna be a terrorist attack when people stand up to it and fire back? You could argue that this country was founded with terrorist attacks. Is George Washington a terrorist? The line has never been this unclear.

Hindsight is 20/20. Can't go back to the BLM protests and start banning people now... Maybe he would, but I don't really recall anyone actually promoting that shit either. If we had an ANTIFA crowd here back then, I don't doubt it would have been the same as this... But it wasn't, it was most of the same people in this thread condemning it.

There was definitely a BIG issue with Rodney King. But that was before Clinton. I said Clinton and George W didn’t have a divide.

And was there race issues with OJ? I don’t remember that? I know people believed he was guilty before he even had a trial but was that really because it was a black man accused of killing his white wife? Or because the media coverage had him at the murder scene. Or the media coverage of the white bronco.

I honestly don’t remember a race divide associated with OJ.

Obama talked about it, and the democrats continue to. But it’s also COMPLETELY separate from who was in the Capitol building the other day. Biden is trying to make FURTHER divide by SPECULATING that if it was a black crowd, they would be shot and/or beaten.
There was race involved in the OJ "verdict", not the trial.

It wasn't that white people hated OJ, many white people loved the man before he did what he did. OJ was about as white as they come for a black man.

You'd have to watch the Oprah show when the OJ verdict was read, the whites were appalled that OJ got off and the blacks were all smiling, laughing, high fiving that he got away with murder of two whites.

By every definition, it most certainly was. What needed to happen for it to have made it a terrorist attack in your eyes?

Granted, it was no 9/11 - I'll agree with that. But, I don't tell someone that just got rear ended that they weren't in a car accident. I also don't gatekeep car accidents just because I've seen much worse ones up close and personal... That's absurd.

There were multiple pipe bombs recovered for Christ sake... There are verified images of fatigue wearing protesters with bundles of zip ties and open admissions that they were, and I quote, "coming for the senators."

Does this look like a protester to you?

Where things get worse is, there are open postings on the internet that next time they're bringing firearms. Next time, they're killing police if they have to and suggesting that LE "take some vacation time." These people are willing to be martyrs for their cause, no different than a terrorist.

If cancel culture is preventing the above statements from making their way to this forum, then maybe some people need cancelled. I don't know if I totally agree with it or not but, that doesn't really matter - the target isn't on my back. It's on the forums and it's on @Millard Baker's if posts go too far... We're all already posting on a drug forum on the open internet that he created in spite of the risk of doing so - I don't know if anyone really appreciates that fact either.

Bro you're talking BS. I am in no way condoning what happened, but stop the drama mama shit. It got out of hand for a few hours, that's it, ITS OVER. Unlike your anarchist and Antifa mobs, 99.99% of the people went home and it's done. Posts on the internet mean nothing. 6 months of looting and pillaging to me are way worse and real.

There is a massive double standard being applied by the typical ideologues on the left, and exaggerating what happened is just a tool.

Democrats have the stones to claim the high road now? The last 4 years somehow never happened? Ask Steve Scalise if it happened or not.

Your logic is that it got out of hand for a few hours and thus, it's not terrorism?

Posts on the internet most certainly do mean something, the FBI, homeland security, CIA and the secret service will agree with me on that, wholeheartedly. Those same internet posts make clear that it is definitely not over... I don't know whether it is or not, I highly doubt it, but I would sooner put money down that it isn't than it is.

How am I talking BS? I made my position that it was clearly terrorism and posted a link to the FBI website's actual definition of terrorism.

How do you not see that you're applying the same double standard?

The reason this capitol protest was relevant is because these people that stormed the building were after the very people that were in charge of the thing they had a problem with.

When someone shoots a black person, lets say B. Taylor while she was sleeping minding her own business and this causes BLM to gather and protest and it devolves into a looting spree. This is a problem, because it was the cops that did this to Taylor and so they should target the police station where these cops work, the homes where they live.

That's the problem with BLM, they don't have the balls to go after the cops that are fucking with them and for that their protests are irrelevant.

Antifa seems to be a little more relevant in picking their targets, but BLM is worthless, they are so scattered brained and incapable.

Dude YOU saying there are posts on the internet, that means nothing is what I am saying.

It was less of an attack, than the Antifa attacks on other federal buildings. When you come to terms with that, we can discuss if this was a terrorist attack.

Dude YOU saying there are posts on the internet, that means nothing is what I am saying.

Then I don't really understand your point... They are easily found, do you want references?

There is no discussion to be had as to whether this was a terrorist attack. I gave you the textbook definition, you are verifiably incorrect. The fact that you want to now debate on which one was more of a terrorist attack is ridiculous. Both were terrorist attacks, but I'm neither a Democrat or a Republican so I'm not going to sympathize with one more then the other as you seem to want to do.

My point is you didn't call those a terrorist attacks before did you? And now you want to throw around the definition. I'm not debating with you Antifa vs .... I'm pointing out your hypocrisy.

It was a protest where some people got hurt. Period! Nothing more. There was no calculated attempt at violence. The crack pots that stormed in didn't murder anybody inside, they didn't take over, they didn't overturn the gov. You're dreaming bro!

Antifa attacks on federal buildings are good. I wish more people would realize that anyone that attacks a courthouse or police station they are championing the true american spirit.

What do people think these buildings represent, they are there as immovable objects to make it clear that if you do anything the powers that be disapprove, they will come for you and destroy your life

I wish people would separate a zest for freedom(which is a great thing) and the many institutions of this country that represent the exact opposite of what they pretend to represent, namely the bullshit of protecting your imaginary liberties.

When someone burns a flag because cops shot some guy in the back, who gives a fuck.

When someone burns a police station down, that's a good thing.

If they can burn a court house down that's even better.

Torching the capitol building would be orgasmic.

Dude this is the rhetoric Millard is referring too. It's not productive, and it is NOT what the people whom were protesting the election are all about. Antifa, anarchists, and the crackpots that stormed the Capitol are birds of the same feather. Left wants to group everyone together, and they're wrong.

I disagree with the election results and there are plenty of questions, but the above is not where we want to be as non Democrats.

There are nutters on both sides of the political debate and rather than enabling them by minimizing their wrongs and resorting to "whataboutism", the more moderate people from the parties need to disavow these idiots and try to work together.

None of this burning and looting shit is productive whether it's the BLM or MAGA crowd doing it. People love to act like the other faction are all idiots and their own faction's shit smells like roses, but that's delusional, pure and simple.

There was a terrorist attack on the Capitol building of the United States of America on January 6, 2021. I will not allow this forum to be exploited as a platform to support or encourage terrorism and/or incite any type of violent insurrection against the United States or violence against its elected officials. This is not up for debate. If you have a problem with this, GTFO.

I hope that's not true. I didn't take Meso as a place for snowflakes.

I get Millard not waiting this forum to be a place where members are inciting violence. Level headed folks understand that. However if there is a double standard, then it's bullshit if the concern isn't applied equally. Again it's his forum and he can do with it as he pleases.so we all on borrows time [emoji51]

I think this was one of the least controversial statements that I've ever made:

"I will not allow this forum to be exploited as a platform to support or encourage terrorism and/or incite any type of violent insurrection against the United States or violence against its elected officials."

I never thought I would need to post such a statement. Even today, I wondered 'is this really necessary?'

Surely, everyone would condemn such violence. They've condemned violence in most other situations that've been discussed on this forum. So no one would have a problem abiding with this.

Apparently, I was wrong. So, I am glad I posted it. It was needed.

And to be clear, notice that I did not say this only applies to certain groups. It applies to everyone.

I recall numerous members condemning the violence. I do not recall anyone using MESO to support or encourage terrorism and/or incite any type of violent insurrection against the United States or its elected officials. Regardless, the same standard applies. This forum is not the place to plot violence.

I figured a copy and paste job. I knew you'd do that. That's why I didn't read anything you said.

After four years of the president not building a wall, not balancing the budget, not lowering taxes for the middle class, no bringing back manurfacturing jobs, cutting epa regulations, and every week he does something unorthodox that you have to defend, ect, ect. He had four years and he played golf more than any other president in history.
He's a POS, and sadly republicans won't recover from this for awhile.

Go google a conspiracy theory to post.

My point is you didn't call those a terrorist attacks before did you? And now you want to throw around the definition. I'm not debating with you Antifa vs .... I'm pointing out your hypocrisy.

I don't think I ever specifically labeled it as terrorism but I did specifically state that I was against the looting, destruction of business, etc when that was occurring. However, when everyone stated that they felt ANTIFA WAS a terrorist organization, I didn't enter into a debate on it because it is pretty true... Fast forward to today, and the opposite is happening... There was a terroristic attack and now everyone is saying it was just a protest. It was a conversation I don't think needed had back then and I'm kind of fascinated by how it does need had now.

I still don't quite see how you're unwilling to admit that you are guilty of hypocrisy you're falsely accusing me of. I get that it's your party and that you supported the idea of how it started, much like I did with the BLM movement protests with how they began, but I didn't agree with how it ended and it doesn't seem like you did either... In both cases, terroristic... In both cases, bad. Which one is worse.. Whole other debate that I don't know if there's a real correct answer to.

I recall numerous members condemning the violence. I do not recall anyone using MESO to support or encourage terrorism and/or incite any type of violent insurrection against the United States or its elected officials. Regardless, the same standard applies. This forum is not the place to plot violence.

No, and even that started as something that, I would think, everyone could get behind... Protesting police brutality. Then it really took a hard 180. Even with that being the initial message, it wasn't really being promoted when things were really going downhill.

You would type it all up right? [emoji23] If you read it, you would see everything you said is incorrect. On the balanced budget, that's a joke if you think anybody can do that in 4 years with Nancy Pelosi penciling in $75 for the national endowments for the performing arts, $25M Kennedy center .... in a stimulus bill. Yeah we are on for it the next for years. The people.think they're a slush fund now, watch.

Next thing your sonos correct my sperring (<--- yeah meant that)

Dude this is the rhetoric Millard is referring too. It's not productive, and it is NOT what the people whom were protesting the election are all about. Antifa, anarchists, and the crackpots that stormed the Capitol are birds of the same feather. Left wants to group everyone together, and they're wrong.

I disagree with the election results and there are plenty of questions, but the above is not where we want to be as non Democrats.

He’s banned for that post. Not surprisingly.

I like Trump but there were definitely lines crossed yesterday that we don’t need to cross again. BLM/Antifa riots should never happen again either. This extremism doesn’t help our country.

No one will remember the largely peaceful crowds during the summer, overshadowed by the burning and looting. The same way no one remembers the overwhelming number of peaceful protesters in DC yesterday (they won’t even give a crowd count anywhere), overshadowed by the small fraction (200 people) that entered the Capitol building. It’s all a waste.

A few people with faces covered in black were seen hammering on the windows attempting to break them. -Haven't seen many Trump supporters ever do that. It looked like Antifa behavior.

There is much video footage of police running out to the crowd, waving and encouraging them into the building, then telling folks to follow them in various directions through the building. They moved barricades and opened doors for the crowd to enter. This whole thing stinks.
