In your opinion, what are the fundamental advantages in life to being jacked? Any disadvantages?

At my biggest (not very big - maybe 6’ 220) I would get constant, and I mean fucking constant, comments on my size. Family, friends, training partners, strangers, coworkers, etc… literally every day some lame and tired “take” on my physique. It got so old.

Random things like washing my back, tying shoes, and brushing my teeth felt like chores. Weird shit like snoring and high calorie days made me feel like a bit of an ogre.

Looking in the mirror was fun though, and so was squashing my training partners.

I’m down to 185 now and I do miss how my t shirts used to fit and the somewhat freaky look I had. However, I do prefer being slimmer overall yet don’t want to drop down much further.
 
On,the flip side, when I was really skinny in high school and college I had multiple high school girls tell me they wished they were as thin as me.


So that was a big confidence booster
 
A lot of guys did pros so I’ll do some cons

1. Cost of food and PEDS
Could have 100% been putting that money to building wealth, more property, savings, if I stayed 60kg and only focused on work, saving etc. if you only eat clean, it’s a lot of volume. chicken, Greek yogurt, lean beef, seafood, egg whites, protein powder can all get expensive especially in some areas/countries, and so can hgh.

2. Sleep Apnea
I dislike using a CPAP, and while my sleep apnea doesn’t bother a lot of women, it does bother my wife and that is important. So either going to sleep is annoying for me or my snoring annoys her. At least until I get used to the machine.

3. Clothes
They often get too small after a matter of months, and buying pants is just hard. Because I’m still growing, this is a big problem. Even a coat I just got two months ago now is cutting of circulation in my traps/neck and shoulders. I need to buy pants that stretch, or sweatpants mostly, or else they are way too big for the waist size.

4. Risk for CVD increases
My heart is still within normal risk for heart disease, but I bet it could be low risk if I didn’t take gear, and wasn’t 235lbs with no plans to stop getting bigger. I maintain health and do bloodwork but I assume that even if I do that, my health will be affected more so than if I abstained from AAS and peptide use. The potential for health to suffer as a man with a family to provide for is probably the largest con.

in certain places like near academia I am openly descriminated against like the nerds are having their revenge or they believe you can't be strong and intelligent at the same time. (maybe this has changed more recently has fitness has gotten so mainstream and more nerdy)

Depending on the social enviroment I will get more jealousy from insecure dudes and it leads to passive aggressiveness or actual aggressiveness. Like a drunk guy at a concert will target me.

Just yesterday some teenagers were walking in a group on the side walk having a good time, one of them shoved the other one so he might bump into me, fortunately the kid caught himself

having to always eat to not lose progress

Portions in restaurants being too small, especially more expensive restaurants, so I rarely go anywhere other than all you can eat sushi (i get it now)
 
Con: No such thing as 1v1 in street fights lol, if you're big at least 2-3 suckers are going to jump you, or worst case scenario, knife or gun will be pulled out

also expect some people to see you as a threat right off the bat, no matter how nice and chill you might be, which is a con in itself because insecure guys will be overcompensating and trying to fight you for no reason other than prove to themselves and their friend group that they can challenge a big dude

Yeah man this one is bad. Pants in particular are tough. Some brands have "athletic" fits which can work well unless your legs are particularly jacked.
