According to an ISP-issued press release, information was obtained by ISP detectives that Anthony G. Mills Jr., 27, Sellersburg, and Robert C. Wilcoxson, 24, Charlestown, were allegedly trying to possess illegal steroids.
A reverse-sting was conducted in which ISP detectives made deals to sell what the two arrestees thought were illegal steroids, though the actual substance sold was counterfeit, according to the release.
Mills was driving his Jeffersonville Police Department-issued car when he arrived to make a purchase.
Wilcoxson is a former employee of the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, where he worked as a correctional officer. Wilcoxson was fired three weeks ago as a result of the ISP investigation, said Clark County Sheriff Danny Rodden. Rodden said no other employees of his department have been disciplined as a result of the investigation.
