Is an AI and hcg necessary for trt?

I'm not sure why I need an AI and hcg included in my trt?

My TT is around 500 and my estrogen is well controlled. But every "expert hrt doc" claim males need an AI and hcg while on trt. They say hcg replicates LH and serves a role in well being etc...

If you're young and still want to have kids then HCG might be a good idea to keep fertile. However, I've read that taking HCG when you want to be fertile also works, but I think that is up for debate. If you're older like me then so what if I'm not fertile.

In my opinion, if you need an AI to keep E2 low then you are driving your TT up too high. I've personally found that my E2 runs around 25-30 up to TT of 900 and then start to go up rapidly above that. I believe that my body is telling me that a TT of 900 is my maximum, so I shoot for a TT of 700.

HCG no, but can be depending on personal preference and plans, AI can be but blood work should dicate that. maybe they are just trying to push more stuff

Not necessary unless you want kids

Not needed all the time and may cause more problems, especially in regards to the brain. Estrogen is neuro-protective in males. Since being off AI, I can think clearer as well as stay more focused. When on AI, It fucks with my brain chemistry even when e2 levels are optimal
