Which trends are you referring to? If type of weapon used in in terms of overall gun violations, handguns are king. As noted earlier.

As far as where I'm at on the subject as a whole? I don't care what anyone owns as long as they're responsible with their guns.

I just think that a lot of the justifications people go on about with regard to assault rifles are ridiculous. You don't need an AR to defend your home anymore than you'd need a Mac.

But not many are willing to admit that they just like big, cool boomsticks.

I am all for closing the loopholes that allow buyers to get around background checks. Potentially semi-annual check-ins for owners.

Shit happens and sometimes it's not even the owner, but a child or partner. A friend developed pretty severe mental disorders in his late teens. Called me one night insisting that his parents wanted to kill him for insurance money.

Wound up doing almost 90 in a psych ward. First thing that happened before he came home? Guns were all removed from the home.
