Jack Reacher Secret to Size

Man, I appreciate it. I've been doing it all wrong. Sorry, use reactions in the General Discussion.

Props for some honesty though:

‘If you increase it a little bit, which I have, you can start to put on muscle mass. I’ve never taken, like, 600 milligrams a week. I don't know if I can handle that. But studies have shown that you can increase muscle mass [while] not working out [and just] taking 600 milligrams of testosterone a week.

‘It definitely helps with muscle growth. If you take a little bit and then you work your ass off in the gym like you normally would, you're going to see huge results.’

Haha

Funny because I just googled this guy since season 2 came out. And there’s an interview where he says that oatmeal and fruit are the key to his physique….like, come on bro. It’s 2024 and you’re too big to have plausible deniability like some former hollywood actors. So I’m glad he’s at least being semi-honest here, that’s cool to me. I understand in that line of work there has to be some level of suspension of disbelief from the masses.

His communication approach was fascinating. Must have worked with a PR team.

Approach

1. I built all this naturally in season 1 but I ran myself ragged, injured myself, and developed "a huge imbalance in hormones".

2. For season 2 I had to do this recovery supplement called Testosterone to keep up all the hard work and maintain the size.

When he stated he hasn't done 600 mg/week I guess that means he is running 250 to 500 mg/week.

‘[With] a clinical dose that’s very low, you won’t really notice much more than those systems working well.

Good genes. Refreshing to have some honesty.

Definitely added some size.

I agree and appreciate the fact that at least he is pulling back the curtain a bit on the truth. That said, I don’t believe he was natty for season 1 either. Like you said - this was likely crafted with the help of a pr team to address the constant accusations he must be getting.

No idea if it’s true but his wiki says he’s bipolar. So I think he’s deserving of some additional credit for dealing with that as well. I enjoy the show and had never seen him in anything prior to Reacher.

I saw an article talking about him a few weeks ago and it said something along the lines of "when I got my bloodwork checked it turns out I actually had no testosterone in my body. I worked so hard I killed my test levels and that's why I got on TRT moving forward"

It always confuses me how people try to lie about their steroid use and accidentally tell on themselves. Makes me think they really are just injecting shit that their coach draws up for them and don't ask any questions about it. I guess the average dumbass on their couch would read that and think he's a God amongst men who can build that physique with 0 test levels.

Maybe I'm just a hater but I don't understand how a famous athlete / actor / influencer can show symptoms of someone cycling and people don't believe they are cycling. Like Jon Jones having completely fucked test ratios, or Lebron James losing half his hair and gaining 25lbs of muscle in a few months in his 30s.
Another one that kills me is how often fighters pop for Clomid and everyone believes that they just conveniently wanted to have a kid 6 weeks before their fight so their doctor prescribed them a banned substance that just so happens to help you recover from a cycle lmao.

I’m with you. Lebron has somehow escaped suspicion all these years and like you said - the signs are there. I have read some accusations of EPO use and I would tend to believe that about him.

Pico Bones Jones most mma fans know has been using his whole career, but casual fans maybe not. But I firmly believe 90% give or take of pro fighters are on some program. It’s only the dummies who get caught. Usada was a joke. Look at some of the female fighters especially the Chinese and Brazilians.

The ones that get me though are actors…which is why I have an appreciation for this guy. But ever see Ed Norton in American History X? He was way bigger then he was in his previous movie Primal Fear…and then shrunk down again. And I think Arnold mentioned something about him back when it came out. And personally I don’t care what anyone says, I firmly believe Pitt was on a program for Fight Club too.

I see all u guys are just into movies and never read the books.

I was on a long vacation and read a few of the books there bad ass. In the books they say hes 6'5 250 way bigger than this actor. and build tons of muscle digging swimming pools by hand, being a major in the military lmao.

He is supposedly 6'3" and 235 lb in season 2. Must do some CGI as he looks bigger than 235. Maybe all the actors were really small?
It took me a long time to realize it's all a illusion.
We all know this by now.

The rock x men, they have a full weight set right out side of the camera view where they fully pump up and oil up right before a scene.

I'm 6'3 230-240 right now, my dr says I bairly look over 200 pounds , I just look athletic with a shirt on dont even like i work out much Untill I break a sweat and have a pump an take my shrt off.

I think that's most of our goal is to walk around 24/7 with our pumped up look. That would probably equal to the look of 15 extra pounds of muscle.

I could be wrong about the book saying 6'5 250 but u know they are ways different than the shows.

I hear you. I feel like a marathon runner almost all the time. Your Doc is probably just a real getbigger ribbing you haha.

Looks like you nailed it.

In author Lee Child's Jack Reacher books, the Reacher character is depicted as being 6 feet, 5 inches (1.96 meters) tall and weighing 250 lbs

I am exactly this right now and would only be able to play reacher's anorexic skinny fat cousin.

I used to read Don Ripper Ross' column and believe you could change your shoulder width. The good ole days when anything was possible in Ironman Magazine.

He gained 35 pounds of lean tissue with zero fat gain in 6 months by pushing the food and a little TRT?

Then posts pics that suggest God-like genetics or just juicing since high school.

Imo he shoulda taken a page out of The Rock's book and refused any interviews where PED discussion was on the table.

No it's better than that. See above. He did all that natural in season 1 and in season 2 only started Test to recover better as his test levels were in the tank from all the ibuprofen. OHearn should hire this dudes PR team. Brilliant.

"Apparently" . He's had a good physique most of his life so good genetics but may have been on before. None admit it but more saying it's "trt" nowadays.
