John Crisler Method

HeadDoc

Psychologist
Just returned from a 30 hour weekend intensive run by A4M in Vegas. Two presenters referred to this "method". Both, Ron Rothenbrg, MD and Paul Savage, MD, were using the method with success in their treatments. Good going Swale, you're movin' along and making a difference.

Well thank you, guys, that is very nice to hear.

I am so sorry I could not be there. I was originally supposed to lecture, and that would have been great because then HeadDoc and I could have had a cup of coffee together. But with the London gig last weekend, and I am just getting ready to leave for my own Michigan Osteopathic Association annual convention (through the weekend) there just wasn't enough of me to go around.

Dr. Rothenberg emailed me last November to say he was adopting my protocol. I do consider him to be the Number One Anti-Aging Medicine physician in America--the guy I most think of as a mentor in the States. I do not know if you got a chance to meet him personally, HeadDoc, but if you did you also know he is one of the nicest gentlemen you will ever have the pleasure of meeting.

Nick Delgado, PhD called the other night to tell me that Dr. Savage wants to form an alliance of sorts with me, to expand my operation. That would be very nice.

Swale, I had a chance to meet Rothenberg as few times. I decided to use one of his cognitive protocols on a trial basis in lieu of the Provigil I have been using. His energy level is phenomenal. Nick sat right behind me at the Savage presentation-- he left before I had a chance to introduce myself. I learned alot, met many interesting people. I may have been the only non-physican there. The docs sitting around me wer very kind in explaining some aspects of basic medicine that escaped me. As I told Dr. Pamela Smith, I understood about 80 to 85%. I don't know when I'm going for another conference but I will have to so I get the other 15 to 20%. BTW, I'm wheening myself off coffee. Sorry I missed you. You are making contributions to the field and to the many men you treat.

Oh, you met Dr. Smith as well! She has an office about 90 minutes from me, and I will be visiting with her very soon. I consider her to be, as you know, the finest doc for female Anti-Aging Medicine in the country.

Yes, AA docs are a pretty good bunch.

Keep fighting the fight Dr, sounds like you may be on your way to creating an empire of sorts. I truly believe this is one area of medicine that has been malformed for many years.

I personally believe that many hypo gonadal men have been misdiagnosed as depressed and turned into impotent zombies by a misinformed medical community in general.

This is IMHO an area of medicine that has an incredible need to grow and flourish, more power to you.

I think I hear my ears ringing! Thank God for Dr. Crisler! :D

I think I hear my ears ringing!

I am sure there are many of us here who feel the same way.
I might be a little off here (some have suggested as much)

I believe that Pharmaceutical companys via their lobbyist's have bought their way deeply into the core of our government and medical system. SSRI's and the like are expensive and they make BILLIONS off of them, testosterone is cheap. Ultimately as is almost always the case you can "follow the cash" to find the culprit.

this is just the area of hypogonadism. TRT is fairly successful for other disorders as well--for instance type 2 diabetes.

I am sure there are others as well.

I for example have had problems with depression ever since puberty. I am quite certain no one ever ran a lab for my testosterone or e2 levels, rather they just started throwing ssri's at me (when I finally went for help).

I am having some degree of trouble getting tuned in with my HRT now because my estrogen is crazy high, it's not making any sense.
I can't help wonder if this could be somehow related, I am hoping it is. I can't wait for my next set of labs.

Your E2 Estradiol or your estrogen E2 is the bad guy I don't like to call it Estrogen because on of the guys at a group asked his Dr. to check his Estrogen and that is just what he got. If your talking about your E2 being high are you taking anything to lower it.

No doubt about this. I've been following TRT boards on the Internet for about 6 years and I can tell you that many men with TRT were taking anti-depressant drugs for years until they figured out they were hypogonadal.

Makes me wonder if it should be required to take a complete hormone panel before starting anti-depressant drugs.

HeadDoc,

What cognitive protocol is a substitute for Provigil? I am getting ready to ask my Doc about Provigil....

Thanks

I'm trying Cognitive Aminos from Pure Encapsulations and Pregnenolone. I've used Provigil for close to a year. I'm experiencing some fatique and lighter sleep over the past 6 weeks or so. Not sure if it's the provigil--just thought I'd try something else for a while. I like the daytime focus effects of provigil--I was using it off label for inattentive ADD.

I am also RX'd Provigil @ 200mg/day I find it provides a mental "clarity" and helps with my drive and mental acuity. No negatives for me whatsoever, why would you want anything else Random?

You could look to avant labs as they have some good info on cognitive improving drugs as Salbutamine piracetam etc. I used to use these also but stopped because I want a clean slate for my next labs.

How has this worked in leu of provigil?

certainly not as potent, but not bad. Given that I'm only on day three of the switch, it's probably too early to tell for sure.
