join pain on hrt

tamvu--You were on an incredibly high dose of T gel. 60gms of 20% gel is 12,000mg delivered to the skin, and 1200mg to the bloodstream each week. Dividing by 7...WHEW!

Your issues could have been caused by the GH as well. If I am understanding you correctly, the pain subsided when you also D/C'd the GH.

I don't know what mechanism leads to such joint pain in men on TRT, but it is rare. I suspect it is a sensitivity to some component of the medication.

how do u increase collagen sysnthesis ... i need to do something here... any supplements etc..........

Have you thought of simple solutions like wrapping your knees and your elbows?

When I was on the gels and my joints and muscles were real bad I asked my Dr. about GH and he said no it would interfere with my TRT. So I did not try it.

I started the muscle/joint pain long before I started HRT. Several years of patches, creams, gels did nothing for me....on any level. For the past 8 weeks have been doing Arimidex , HCG and Testosterone CYP. That has helped on some levels but not on the muscle joint pain. I know Phil has had success with this so I was hopeful but not much improvement yet. Maybe it's too soon to tell. Last week my PCP tested for gout and arthritus and those results call came back normal.

Swale... they guys you have treated, have many complained of the pain problem? If so, what has been their outcome?

i read on a board somewhere that Test has a severe tendancy to reduce joint collagin, whereas Deca and EQ replentish it. can't remember where is saw that. sorry i also have joint problems . and only incurred them after TRT. but hard to say if it is directly related. i suspect it is personnally.

yea, it makes your tendons/ligaments brittle too.

EQ is the best by far, but you wont be getting that from your doctor.

for me, too much test causes joint pain

I know this now after a year on gel. I dont know if its that way for everybody but when my dosage exceeds a certain level - then it happens.
GH also caused me some swelling in the wrists and carpal after about 6 months, so now I use it 3x/week, I like it but for me it has a lot of side effects. Also I have learned that higher amounts of test does not lead to more sexual activity.you have to find the right combo of test and estro- not an easy thing to do. Women have been at this for a long time, and we are just beginning

tamvu--I sure would like to see you get some competent direction in the administration of your medications. This is important stuff.

GH should be administered every day. Taking it three times per week INCREASES your risk of ill side effects.

I don't think deca increases collagen synthesis... deca does make your joint retain water though which helps them lubercate while ON the cycle... hgh is the only thing i know about that helps collegan systhesis

and is this true test decreases it?

That article on collagen synthesis was floating around everywhere for years. It means nothing. If test is taken only at hrt doses, it helps, not hurts your joints. Deca, EQ, or any other aas gives water retention and that is why people feel it. The actual healing properties of joints have not been confirmed in all I have read. GH will also help, but low dose and extended duration is key.

I have been on HRT for a few years and do get pains more when my levels are out of whack. If T is on the higher side and E is normal, joints feel ok.

well i give up like all my pains magically went away... my elbows shoulders lower back i even did legs today pain free... i even hit another record for incline dumbells so this is what i got to say i give up i got no clue what is causing it....... i'm just going to lift until something snaps then quit.... i don't even really want to lift anymore i'm as strong as i have ever been and heavy as i have ever been but no matter what i do i still look small............

Here's a theory. TRT will suppress LH. LH suppression may reduce levels of Pregnenolone. Pregnenolone is a precursor to Progesterone. Progesterone is a precursor to Corticosteroids, Corticosteroids that fight inflammation in the joints and muscles. Have your Dr test Progesterone.

WTF are you doing using HCG during a cycle. It increases estrogen. It should only be used after a cycle and only for a few weeks. You Arimidex will reduce your estrogen. When you get 2 drugs working against each other your bound to run into trouble. JOINT PAIN can be cause by statins (Zocor) ect. GH will definately help in that area. If you are on a statin STOP. They got other thing to help in that area.

Krembles where did you read that he is doing a cycle on statins(Zocor) are we on the same page here. He said he tryed patchs, Creams and gels. This is TRT not a cycle of steroids. And he is doing arimidex to help keep his E2 down this does not cause joint and muscle pain that I know of.

Your Doctor did not want to tell you your joints ached because you were a
100 lbs over weight. Growth Hormones do not interfere with TRT. It helps.
Surprised that a know it all even has to ask a Doctor.
