I hate to be the correct one here, since the topic can be a emotional one for the military folk...

The constitution, the flag, and the national anthem are all symbolic of the fact that we live in a country where he has the right to do that. To hold any of those symbols as being more sacred than the concept of freedom they represent... well, that is stupidity.

Not supporting the first amendment right is unpatriotic in itself. I'm actually quite agitated at the military men and women who I've witnessed blow up over this on social media, those who have spent X amount of years in military service, who still don't have a clue what the constitution means. It more or less pisses me off how many people just don't get it. Yes, it's socially unacceptable in the situation, he could've picked a better platform to do this on... or was this the best time to do it?

Then again, I'd like to point out that his intention is entirely different, involving the police state and the already debunked "police are killing black people more than any other race" situation. They kill more white people, actually. Harvard did a study. A black guy at Harvard, to be specific, who was actually on the side believing the media sensationalism, initially. It was all proven wrong, but you don't see the media admitting to that now do you?

I'd like to conclude that this was the final straw for me. It is now clear to me that the US is going straight to shit. I didn't want to believe it before, but I do now. Too many people are beyond ignorant to what this country is meant to be in this day and age, in this world full of tyranny and oppression. We are crumbling...

I just felt the need to rant here. Facebook is full of mindless idiots.

The whole reason they play that miserable song at sporting events is to indoctrinate the masses, make them feel patriotic, celebrate the military. It's a symbol of loyalty, not freedom. Ditto the flag, and the fascist pledge of allegiance. When you disrespect these symbols a lot of people are going to be seriously offended. Do it at a sporting event, and expect double the treatment. In earlier times, like during WWII, you might not have survived the stunt.

Kaep is a paid member of the indoctrinaters. IMO he violated the unwritten but well known rules of his contract, and is now paying the price. He deserves what he gets.

And for the record, I'm not against symbols of loyalty (though they could have picked a better song). I just like to call things what they are.

I've have always wondered what the correlation between the milatary and professional and collegiate sporting events was all about? I mean the obvious answer is to pay homage to those who have served and sacrificed there lives.
But to have milatary presence at every event and to sing the national anthem at every event seems a bit redundant.
It seems like it's a subliminal milatary and political agenda that our citizens have been unwillingly force fed.
Now I'm not trying to disrespect those who have served. Just wondering what it has to do with athletics.

All i knowis kaep has NOT been performing anywhere near well enough to be stirring shit up like this. Its hard being a 9ers fan :(

I agree with almost this entire post except on one point.

Would you say the same about someone who violated the blue wall of silence?

The DOD is using sports to improve its image, has been since at least WWII. <Here's> the first example in my google search. There are tons of reports on this. It has been a hugely successful venture for the military. There are also tons of studies on the psychology that makes this kind of thing compatible with sports fans, though I haven't followed it much myself.

Not for becoming a whistle blower on something like police brutality. That's not what Kaep did.

It's like all the money they spend on the fly overs at sporting events all over the country. Talk about a waste of money. Idk I guess people are into that kind of shit and there tax money is paying for it like or not.

Statistics can be manipulated, sure there are more white killed by cops then black, but there are 5x as many white people.
Blacks are 2.5x more likely to be murdered by cops than whites.

That fucker wearing pig cops socks he is really a piece of shit. Its sad it took him sitting for the national anthem to bring these fucking socks to light.

Actually, your wrong. Just as he has the right to voice his opinion and protest so do those who protest against him. The legal authorities and government do not have the right to infringe upon his constitutional right to free speech. A free citizen with a counter opinion has just as much right to his free speech which includes protest, speech and how he spends his monies (boycott). Also, his employer has legal rights as well.

@XKawN

You are putting words into my mouth. Never said someone with the opposite opinion of my own could not voice it, I just understand it to be pretty foolish.

Well, apologies if I wrongly put words in your mouth. I thought you were saying it's wrong of the military men and women to voice their outrage over kaeps stand due to his second amendment right.

Kaepernick also wore a Fidel Castro shirt which shows what a stupid fuck he really is. It's his right to sit down during the anthem if he wants to. Why would you wear pig socks if it's only a few he has problems with? Why insult them all? He's about done anyway.

Bc many of the cops who don't commit the actual crime help shield the ones who do. Blue wall of silence.....

Cops aren't paid to protect and serve. They're paid to enforce the laws in place. They're two separate and distinct things.
