Kaps future gym not to far away :)

A condo I am looking at buying has a basement, but certainly not as big so I'm considering doing it too. A power rack that has various attachments and that can be used as a bench station would be darn good for even a small space.

A barn would be darn good for a gym. If it is still structurally sound it still should suffice, so get the advice of a building inspector before you decide to tear it down.
Metal buildings can be pricey even.
Yea....i know the cost is gonna be up there. I started pricing out equipment from different companies(not new but previously used, from gyms that tanked, etc). Im at 6,400 with my current estimates...and thats if i drive to NY for it....this is my goal tho as i am absolutely disgusted with my local gyms...I cant do it anymore....the last good place in town closed up in September and since then im moving around like a lost dog

Yea a lot of good gyms are getting harder to find in small towns. I live in a fair sized shoreline town and the gym I go to is pretty decent thankfully, and have a backup membership at a Planet Fitness as well (lol haters!)

Sorry if i missed it...but did you or do u plan to install a surround sound system etc? Im deciding whether to re-do a barn on my moms property or demo and start from scratch.....either way, im cutting back on all excess spending this summer and hopefully next year can have something that even remotely resembles yours....

i thought about it, but to be honest i have an ipod dock that cranks.. after sitting back i thought fuxk it i dont need any more speakers, industrial fan is the next thing and a storage shelf

u mite just be able to strengthen the barn with C-section beams, light weight and cheap

all up including the new shed ive spent 30k pretty much

when I was house shoppong, if I didn't have enough space in basement or garage, I envisioned my self building a shed gym. but nothing like that, it would've been one of the big sheds that fit a riding mower. this gym is impressive
