That's right. Move on man. Just a part of growing up. That's what helped me get over the hump. You'll have plenty of time in your salty sixties to tell tales to the kiddos and brag about how not pussy you were. Thank you for your service. Even if you were a damn rangerEvery goddamn day

Oh I found my sweet spot in Dahlonega around 0300 walking up a mountain.
All I could focus on was the ACH hanging off the back of the LT's ruck above me...
Go figure, shit falls off, hits me, 2 people below me, and falls all the way down to the bottom. You could hear every plunk of the helmet bouncing off the rocks.
My comfort zone? Any time there's an a10 overhead I felt pretty damn comfy, but never complacent
It's funny to see SO come out of his shell...
probably shot the shit with this dude on the daily for 2 years before we even acknowledged anything more than one liners.![]()
Haha he's been a blast. Brings me back to my glory days.....
Had a sad realization today when I was looking at my blue.card, and when I turned it over it said civilian - yes...

Hey someone's gotta look pretty with all the new equipment
Thank you for your service as well brother.

Glad you liked it man!! No big deal that you may have missed a few things or changed up a bit. It's a lot to convert to all at once. Just keep grinding it out!! Nice numbers on the squats!Did my first workout from @Thenewera 's bodybuilding split today. LEG/BACK day. Will write down what I remember from it... also completely missed the pulldowns on accident
Lots and lots of volume... had to knock the weights down quite a bit for myself.... also had to use smith machine because all the racks were taken, and it fucked my back up for some reason which affected the rest of the day, but the workout itself was fucking awesome. Just gotta get my mind out of explosive power and into aesthetics.
Squats. 225x12, 275x10, 315x8, 315x8, 335x6, 365x4, 365x4
BB Lunge 5x12 @135 lbs
CG BB Row 4x12 @135
Iso extensions 2x10@95, 2x10@125 (did these single leg)
Pull up 4x12
Singe leg lying ham Curl 5x12 @50lbs
CG Cable row 5x12 @140
I did the next 2 exercises on that shrug/lunge machine
Rear delt shrug 5x12 @90
Stuff leg deads 5x12 @90
Standing Calf Raise 3x60 sec at 10lbs
Behind back shrug 3x20 @135
No cardio. Felt lazy. But workout was pretty damn good, honestly.
Focused a lot on that "mind muscle" connection that @Thenewera mentions in his log. Most exercises had a 2 second pause at the top... Hamstring Curls were killer. On Monday I am getting all the measurements done so I can track every little detail of progress while running this split.... I'm pretty excited honestly.

Posing helps a ton! Training in front of a mirror, touching the muscle while you lift, flexing it RIGHT after your set for 30 seconds all work too!strong work man.
I feel I have a good mind+muslce connection with certain groups and exercises but with others I struggle from training some many full body compounds. I've heard people like @gr8whitetrukker and @Notits @Wunderpus say posing can help build the connection. It aids in isolating specific groups and feeling the contraction of these muscles, then you add the weight on. Good luck with your new routine, shock should stimulate some good growth.
can you elaborate on this?touching the muscle while you lift
I find while training someone when I touch my fingers between the pec there able to focus on the squeeze more as I tell them to *smash my fingers* same for rows and trap/lat movements.can you elaborate on this?
Ive seen videos of guys doing like pulldowns and a guy standing behind them pushing slightly on the upper traps or on their quads when they were doin leg extension.....I always thought they were just illustrating the contraction for the video or whatever.
See I think it's not douchey at all. I mean, to each their own truk. But, if I see someone posing, ( hitting actual poses ) I don't mind at all. I actually will examine and look. It's all towards someone's goal. It's very beneficial in my mind to truly recruit the muscles throughout the workouts and in between sets. But like I said, to each their own.I like to train while my girl touches my pecker. If that counts
I don't do much posing. If any while in the gym. It's looks douchy and I really don't want the attention. Pretty introverted

regardless of when you do it...whether intra-workout or at home naked in the mirrorSee I think it's not douchey at all. I mean, to each their own truk. Correct. Although I do find while working the muscles - if I'm really posing and contracting hard between sets it keeps the blood in the muscle more and allowing for a better pump and better mind to muscle recruitment as you have the " feel " of it the whole time.regardless of when you do it...whether intra-workout or at home naked in the mirror
the concepts do work though correct? You become more and more aware over time?
as you have the " feel " of it the whole time.
